OS Daily Wed 3rd Oct 2007

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 3rd October. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Hope i've done this right (im a virgin,in the OS daily startup sense;) :p )
Didn’t post yesterday had 3 fillings at the dentist, hence me being up at silly o clock now.
My gums killing where the injections went in. So I have got up and had some paracetamol. Was going to have a cuppa but there’s no tea bags:eek: , so instead I’ve hung the washing out and cleaned the cooker! (Side effects of sleep deprivation its the only explanation  )
Had a scan of yesterdays daily (just to make sure you were all behaving:D )

KYLE ~ hope you have a fab holiday. (I’m so jealous~see green with envy)
MRSMC~ sorry to hear about the calf, but it did make me chuckle the way you are being jinxed by your Mum :o
IFITS~ welcome lurker, make sure you post ALL you have done or I will be over there with my size 6’s (IYSWIM);)
THESHUFFS~ made up you got good news bet that’s a weight off your mind :j
ESSEXGIRL, MIOLIERE, HARDUPHESTER and anyone else feeling poorly, hope you all feel better soon.
Right gonna try and get a few more hours sleep, before the cat's biting my ankles wanting brekkie.
HUGS if you need them coming your way.
Will pop back after.

Morning ELLIE and CSARINA. Well, I'm up early this morning but I had a pretty good night's sleep, for me. Only five hours, but it was unbroken which does not happen very often! I've spent the last three nights coughing which I think wore me out enough to conk out last night.

(((hugs))) to all who are suffering from the latest cold. I feel a lot better this morning, proof that it does not last forever.

Will have a flick through yesterday's thread in a mo. I looked yesterday but nothing seemed to sink in to my clogged-up head!

Plan today is a quick runaround with the hoover; the house has been a bit neglected for the last couple of days. Then, I must catch up with the paperwork - again. It never seems to go away completely. I only have a small pile of ironing because DH did the mountain of it on Sunday. I don't think I'll be going to the gym at all this week; my brain wants to, but my body is resisting!

Anyway, off to make another cuppa. As I haven't been able to taste anything lately, I can't get enough tea now!

(((hugs))) to all. Will call in later.

    Morning Ellie/Csarina/mioliere

Well I'm occupying myself as I am too warm and DH is still snoring. It's a hour later here so not too bad!

Forecast for my next few days as I hit Spain is Rain:eek:  oh joys! though due to be nice for when we arrive probably Friday.

Scanned yesterdays thread, you'll have to forgive me scanning over the thanks button, but it slows the scan down, but thanks to everyone anyway. Belated Birthday wishes Math and anyone else I've missed or who are celebrating today.

So pleased to hear the good test results! ((((hugs to any/everyone))))

Hester you have had me giggling (silently though, not sure its what I should show DH I'm reading!)

    Take care

Hi DONNYGAL - glad you're having a good time but sorry about the rain. It's been gloomy here for the last couple of days. DH and I have driven from France into Spain a few times. We once did it all in one day - took fourteen hours! It's a lovely trip because the roads are so good, aren't they? Puts the UK to shame - especially the French roads, and so little traffic. We find it really hard to adjust once we get back home!

Anyway, it's good that you are able to keep in touch. Hope the sun shines soon!

Morning. Day off for me, so I shall loaf around for a bit and then paint/stain the windows. Looks to be a dry day so I must get that done. I am supposed to have 3 days off, but ti looks as though I am being paid to work Friday :j for double time. Just what I need to swell the holiday fund.
Not much else doing, everyone is at college or school and we are just plodding along.

    Hello everyone,

Just having my afternoon cuppa with 2 white chock chip cookies. :D Had an awful nights sleep as well due to sometime deciding to try out for the dirt bike motorcycle championships at 1am. The thought of running down the shed, getting some wire and stringing it across the road crossed my mind briefly. :D
Anyway following some excellent advice from a lovely person I had a nap this arvy. ;)

This morning I made the zucchinni relish and I must say it's absolutely delicious. If anybody wants the recipe let me know & I'll sell it to you. :p I best not go outside this arv in case the tickets fall off me in the breeze. :D Also made another batch of lettuce soup & started the chore of cooking the chard & freezing.

Pink So happy that Master Pink went well & hope he had a good night's sleep & you of course.
Sickies which are a few, get well soon.
    The Shuffs Excellent results.
Donny Enjoy Spain. Sounds like it's warmer anyway, if not just as wet. :D
Kyle One more sleep. Woo hoo.
TiredMum Hope all is well. Take it easy.

Well hope you all have a lovely day & hugs to any I"ve missed that need one. Byeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Good Morning Everyone.

Didnt manage to get on last night. Took the kids up to bed at 7.30 and my son was a bit restless. Lay down next to him (hes in a big bed now) and the next thing I knew it was half six this morning. I must have needed the sleep though!

Mad panic now though because I usually get everything ready and do the housework once the kids are in bed so havent actually done anything yet!

Will speak later once Im back from work (on the basis I dont fall asleep with the kids again.)
