I find that phishing e-mails come in spates. You can go weeks without any, then you get several within a few days.

I've had several ebay ones in which people claimed to have bought something from me, asking how they could pay. (I assume they hoped to get account details.) The item numbers were genuine ebay auctions which had closed. I've reported them all to ebay and they've all been confirmed as 'spoof'.

To be on the safe side I only read emails from ebay actually on the site, if I get an email and it has not gone to my messages on ebay I delete them.
