Query on the half marathon seconded, how did it go? Mind you, I'm not on here the rest of the night, but I *am* curious. And I was away all last week, so not sure about the hunt for aprs. I've earmarked November as looking for a new 0% deal - I want another long one, a year or so, hopefully egg will have something on the go, they usually do. Oh, just re-read your post before posting this - these are cards you already have! Woah! You need to get some new cards, balance transfer and close the old ones! Good luck with it. I've been fairly lazy today, haven't done bits like that - so easy to give advice, dontcha know! :rotfl:

Hey everyone! Sorry I have not been around for a bit recently but I have not been too well! Managed to run the half marathon! Ran it in 2 hours 16 mins which I am really pleased with...have signed up to run Bath Half next March so am planning to get back out there training next week! Basically managed to finish the race, but had really bad stomach cramps straight after and it made me not want to eat or drink anything...HUGE mistake! Spent the whole day feeling horrendous, then got no sleep as I was aching so much, then spent the whole of Monday, Tuesday and some of Wednesday not being able to walk! Thursday and Friday I was feeling really worn out and even fell asleep during my training I was sat in at work! Didn't feel too good yesterday either but am feeling a bit better today...I haven't been on my computer for days, which is unlike me, just been feeling so exausted, which I am putting down to the race but also have not been eating properly since the run, which hasn't helped. Anyway, I have a week off work now so I am really chuffed about that!
Right then...back to it! Card wise I have decided to transfer my Virgin card as they wrote to me yesterday and told me that my 0% is now at an end and the interest rate will now be...21.9%....OMG :( So that has gotta be transfered asap! Had blimin HSBC on the phone yesterday..really early in the morning (obviously done on purpose so they can catch you!) calling to say I had not made my monthly payment! Minimum payment last month on one of the cards was £92 and I had received a £50 refund form a shop onto the card, so I just paid £42 thinking that would be ok...but no! The called to tell me to make the payment immediately, I said ok take it from my account to which she replied, we can't do that as your next statement has been produced therefore we must take that too....Grrrrrrr! So she took that, as well as the minimum payment for the other card so must remember to factor that into my wages when I get paid next week. Have set up a Direct Debit now on both cards so that sorts that! Hope my work don't mess up my wages this month...last pay packet they overpaid me some overtime so I told them and they said this month they would minus the overpayment and then pay me the overtime at the rate it should have been...but you know when you can just see something going wrong...mmmmmm I can! Hopefully they will prove me wrong! As so don't wanna mess up...really can't wait to get paid so i can finally try and get to grips with these cards! Made just over £50 on ebay the other week with the dvds, so plan to get listing again and transfer the pay pal money now so that when it clears next week I can out it towards a card! Hope you all are well....gonna go and make myself a coffee now and try and coax that little madam into the shower! God knows she needs one, especially as she was in her Pj's all day yesterday and is still in them now! It's her birthday on Tuesday, so chuffed as managed to buy her present with cash...not cards! Woo hoo! Got so much to do as have had to let everything slide this week, what with being ill and everything...but am back with a vengence now!

    Hi there!

Wow, there's some ups and downs in the last week for you, aren't there? The water thing........ Nooooo, bad idea. but you don't exactly need telling that, do you? I really admire you for being fit enough to *do* a half marathon, no matter what state you're in afterwards. And for the ebay stuff. Hope you manage to get the littl madam out of her p.j.s, have a good day.

Hey Karmacat! There are people of all shapes and sizes running the marathon...honestly 14 weeks before it I couldn't even run for 10 minutes...I was so out of breath and sweaty it was unreal! But stuck at it and am so happy I managed to finish it! Little madam has ran off at the mention of the word 'shower' and is hiding in her bedroom! So will sort myself out first and then move onto her! So looking forward to my week off...will be good to finally get things moving and sort everything out! Can't believe how much a week has out me behind with everything...am all over the shop! Planning to get back to proper eating tomorrow as well. I could do with loosing a few pounds and have definately put weight on in the last few weeks..as my clothes are starting to feel tight! Can't afford to do that as cannot afford loads of new clothes! Still waiting for my mittens and scarf from ebay, hope they arrive soon. Realised I actually need a coat for the autumn, and managed to get one brand new last night on ebay for £1!!! Could not believe my luck! Couple of quid postage but can handle that so that is good! Been hunting around on ebay for pressies for xmas...plan to get my brothers game on there...dad's presents are sorted but need to get other peoples sorted. Nephew should be easy as he is a baby, but brothers girlfriend is tough as she is 19 so god knows what to get her...detremined not to put them on my cards...haven't spent on my cards for a while now and feel really pleased with that!

Hi there. Good to see you.

Well done on the EBAY bargains!

And an even bigger well done for finishing the half marathon. Sorry that you had ill effects afterwards though but I am sure that is lesson learned for the next one eh?

I hope your next EBAY listing spree lands you some good extra cash to throw at the cards.

Did you get little madam showered in the end? :D

Between the ebay bargains and the fitness in 14 weeks, thats *seriously* impressive - well done! I'm quite envious. If I ever left the computer alone, maybe I'd be able to do something similar......

HIya LA and KC! Have just transfered the £50 ready to pay towards a card! Actually looking forward to it...that is a it weird! What I might also do is take the £30 that it being credited to my Virgin Broadband, Cable and Phone account and then put that with the £50...may as well...at least I won't spend it on rubbish! Definately learned for the next half marathon...will be eating and drinking properly afterwards, no matter what! If you want KC could email you the schedule I used? Can't believe I did it...so happy I actually managed to achieve it! Off to look for a few ebay bits now...managed to get Emily bathed in the end, she prefers those to showers and I still had some hot water left after finishing the mountain of washing up...won't be long before she is wanting a shower everyday and spending ages in the bathroom so should be grateful I suppose!
