  • :hello: kebab... i have been reading this diary from the beggining. Just thought i could put something into it. Clothes shopping, i dont know how you feel but asda do some really nice childrens and adults clothes for £1.50 upwards. Also if i remember last year they had hats and scarfs for adults for £3.50+... ideal i think :D

Hiya PAP! Have spoke with you a few times before! Hope you are doing ok...
Don't have any probs with Asda...just getting down there really. Closest one is Cribs Causeway but then I have to get the bus down...buses are so expensive round here! Emily is nearly 11 but is in aged 14 clothes and finding them in her size is a nightmare! I have to go through my wardrobe as none of my clothes seem to match each other! Will have to check out Asda etc, closest supermarket to me is probably Sainsburys and Tesco, they will probably have some too?

Was so worried about about adding up the outgoings for that SOA but so glad I did...even though I feel sad sometimes I feel so much better for confronting this, that's something! Right off to chase that madam up to bed, wash up and then will be back...have to work out my xmas present list/amounts for everyone. God knows what to get my boyfriend...least now he knows exactly how skint I am, better out in the open I suppose!

Forgot about there! Sometimes their stuff is ok...sometimes it falls to pieces! Could try Matalan I suppose, wonder if they are doing anything? Might pop down tomorrow lunch time as work about 10 mins away...as long as I can steer clear of Maccy Ds and their Oreo McFlurry!

    Hi Donner

Well done for getting your SOA together. Its a really positive thing that you faced this while you still have a surplus... Just think if you had carried on burying your head you could have got to a stage where your debts could have left you with no surplus.

I know what you are saying about food and the nutrition but you should go and spend some time over on the old style board and I am sure they will tell you that £40 per week for 2 of you is enough (too much for some of them would say  ) and if done correctly they would say you will have a better diet than before so it can definately be done. But once you get your head round it you will know what works best for you and your daughter. Like I said before maybe look into the codes and internet shopping at Tescos.

When you get chance it might be an idea to post the interest rates for your loan and your CCs so people can advise if you could maybe juggle the higher interest cards around??

Have a look at changing to a cheaper gas/electric supplier as you could maybe save some money on this.. Don't forget to go through a cash back site for this.

Also you might be able to get your cat insurance cheaper...Not much but better in your pocket I suppose ;) maybe cash back site again for this??

I look forward to your updates its really inspiring to read about people making changes :T

Hi hon. Sorry - I need to dash out in a minute but bumping your thread for you!

One thing though - can you edit your SOA and show the APR % for your credit cards?

Heya LA! Will do that tomorrow! Need to find the paperwork to see what they are set to....know the HSBC ones are mega high...need to sort out that balance transfer to the M&S card too...has a £2000 limit on it. I am off to bed as I am so shattered...sorry that there is not much of an update today! Been mega busy at work and then my friend came over for tea...there was a day when that would be a take out...but not any more! Can't wait until it is the weekend!

Hi to Mae too! Will def get these apr's on here. Need to check out the OS board for foodies, would be great if I could do it for less than £40 as more to throw at the debts. Ebay dvd sales have not gone that great, but at least they will free up some space I suppose! Will have to work out totals tomorrow and sort out postage too.

God cannot believe how tired I feel today...off to land of nod now but will be back tomorrow with those APR's!

    Nighty night everyone xxx

Ooh one update! Managed to get myself a scarf and mitten set! 99p on ebay! :) Brand new too...will leave the hat as I tend to where my hair clipped up so probably wouldn't be a good idea anyway! Really pleased with the scarf and mittens...only £1.40 postage so total of £2.39...bargain!

Nighty night...going to bed for real now!
