Pretty much any of it. Do we want free trade? Customs union?
Almost every announcement made has been contradicted.
Have we actually made a pitch and been rejected? Or are we not still talking about timescales etc?0 -
Meanwhile the BOE keeps interest rates steady:

The In/Out balance, based on the demographics has likely already shifted to Remain, give it another 30 years and that 65+ band that was the only one with a Leave majority will be 95+. Will the younger generations be more in/out? Will people change from in to out over time?
in / Out of what though. The demographics may have changed. However so will have the EU. Now the UK is shortly no longer to be a member that can block change. Expect some fundamental shifts in policy.0 -

There is already talk of a 2 speed EU, so which would we join?
I think we can all see some push back on further harmonization, from certain quarters of the EU, so it will be interesting to see the response from the core.0 -

How has it been contradicted? Free trade is only a contradiction if you assume that it comes part and parcel with the single market - it doesn't.0 -

I'm not saying any such thing. I'm saying there were a lot of brexit voters who thought they were voting to give the NHS £350 million a week.TrickyTree83 wrote: »How has it been contradicted? Do you actually understand what Free Trade is? Because I'm guessing you think you do, but you don't. This is common among leave voters, so the conversations where everyone goaded each other into voting to leave (similar to a suicide pact) won't have helped your decision processes.0 -

We're leaving the customs union.
It's the labelling. I also think we will have a relationship with the EU.
But it will be termed something else from a Customs Union; Single Market; even FOM.
There will be something approaching an accommodation, which all parties can sell to their voters.0 -

Is there? Have you surveyed them all? Define "a lot" if you're so sure. Tell us how many, a percentage is fine we can do the maths.Do you actually understand what Free Trade is? I fully understand what free trade is.
We don't require customs union membership to have a trade deal with the EU.
If you think I'm your definition of the average leave voter you would be wrong.
What did you think free trade was, perhaps I can help you further?0
