Welcome Lisa you've come to a great supportive thread, it really is brill
Dawn I hope you are beginning to feel abit better.
My eyes are spinning today, I am so tired. 8 hours travelling to get DD to a sporting event and back yesterday. Good news is that they want to enter her into her British sporting event and are talking Tokyo. I'm away for her British sports event weekend aswell at another sports event, so have been arranging for a friend to take her.
More training sessons involving travel to come, but hopefully worth it.DD enjoyed herself.
Once i fell into bed last night i had to do some paperwork that I had stupidly put off doing and was up early this morning to complete it and get it sent in. Im paying the price.......and I have a meeting tonight aswell:(
Haven't really done much, just the housework basics.
It's throwing it down, really awful weather so no money spent, so one good thing about today.
Some paperwork bits still to do, but will do them first thing and get them in the post tomorrow.
Have a good rest of the day everyone xDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I think it's time I joined this thread! I have had a LBM though not with regards debt (I'm ok with what we have and it's manageable) but my genralmspending is off the scale with nothing to show for it! I'm ashamed after looking at how much I spent last month with no idea on what.
So, this week should be fairly cheap for me. Staying at my sisters so most food she has already bought. Just meals to make up (she is awaya ne I'm keeping a pen eye on the teenagers).
So far so good. Must keep away from internet spending!0 -
Evening all
Welcome to Lisa and Poppy - we are a fab lot on here
Just a very quick stop in for me tonight as I'm on my way to take ds to his swimming lesson and then I will have to get straight on with my exam marking. Now I'm back at work my day consists of work, marking and very little else - but it's worth it when the £ comes through
Ally - hope the trip goes as ok as it can.Not giving up

My keep debt free thing today was not assuming that Poundland is cheapest. It is quite tempting to do so. Wanted a new arch lever folder for my paper work (existing one has broken- well I have had it for several years). Found two in WH Smith for 75p rather than £1 each in Poundland. Every penny etc. Looks like gonna have extra money left at the end of the week to add to the already saved money from the beginning :-)Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0

Hi again,
Well I did manage a lot of tasks today. The money saving hilights:
*Removed rest of the meat from Saturday's spicy roast chicken. Enough for tonight's meal & tomorrow's packed lunch.
*Used up some leftovers for my lunch.
*Fed my sourdough culture & consulted instructions on when I can try baking with it. We love artisan sourdough loaves but they are expensive so am trying a bit of diy.
*Did a few surveys.
*Re-listed a few ebay items.
*Ran remaining books in my ebay pile through a couple of book buying websites. Arranged to sell a boxful to the one paying the highest.
*Rest of saleable books weighed & postage prices noted for listing on ebay later this week.
*Paid another 50p piece into my sealed pot.
*Checked online banking to see if a cheque has been cashed yet. Nope!
*Updated grocery budget & paid Saturday's supermarket shop across to our CC (only used to accrue vouchers).
*Finished library book & started a bag of stuff to take back.
*Sorted through voucher stash on pinboard & chucked out of date stuff. Noted plenty we can use on our next shop.
*Entered 2 competitions.
*Added a few more store cupboard items to my 'Buy 5' list, as this seems to be working so far.
*Rainy all day so have had to use heated airer but I know this is likely to be a fraction of what a tumble drier would cost to run.
*Tiny bit of free fitness legging it to the postbox in the rain.
*Recycled an envelope which arrived with a junk mailshot.
*Started thinking about what to bake for our festival pack-up this weekend.
*Knit some more of my friend's socks. I think she will really like them.....bright self-patterning yarn in primary colours & I've done frilly cuffs on them for a bit of a change.
*Ignored a few emailings which were trying to tempt me into parting with cash!
I think that's it......to be honest, sorting all the books for selling to 'Ziffit', listing on ebay or taking to Oxfam took me most of the afternoon.
And that, Frugal Friends, was it.
Cheers,

Thanks. The company is paying for me to go First Class in one direction, there'll be free food and the hotel has a pool. I'm taking all my digital toys to play with in the evening and some DVDs so I can pretend I'm on holiday.
Nothing changes the fact that I'll be separated from DW though.
