  • Morning - no smile today because I am so tired! And have another tiring day ahead. 2 more days to go! Not sure what I'll get done today as am volunterring 9-12.30 and then 6-8... I feel really old! Never have I felt so physically tired! Usually I bounce back after a night's sleep but this unrelenting work has shown me I no longer have the boundless energy that I have taken for granted all my life :(

    Still I will try to:

    * madam going to mil's for the morning
    * pick her up and take her to her school settling in session
    * on way to pick her up collect pool (for her party in a couple of weeks) and her school uniform
    * take her to the hairdressers afterwards
    * come home and maybe play playdoh or water play (so I can sit down and rest!)
    * dinner will be lo spag bol for oh & madam. Put vegan spag bol in sc for me before going out
    * make madam's & my pack lunch for tomorrow and get her bag ready

    fall in a heap on the sofa at exactly 8.30!

    Hope you all have a good day

    DNMS make sure you do get some rest at some point and look after u. There is nothing worse when u just feel so physically tired.hoping things settle back down for u soon, sending hugs.
    Have to pop to shop first thing for cat litter but pleased as I managed to snag a NSD yesterday which was partly through laziness out of not getting cat litter!
    Some amount of paperwork to complete today.
    Must get some housework done, house is looking very messy
    Just checked banking and paid some bits- really pleased, get vouchers for Christmas, and these should be finished the end of August which is just in time for when my CTC finish. Some of the vouchers I keep back for the sales but if DD wants a new tablet for uni, then that's an early main Christmas present sorted which I wil get using the vouchers
    Just about to go out to a meeting yesterday and my main wheelchair breaks, the metalwork completely snapped. DD brought down my upstairs one to use- a nightmare in the car.
    Rang it in straight away, wheelchair people not happy that with a bit of jiggling I can use the broken one upstairs, but said I need a chair upstairs and if I bum shuffle I still risk injury as I can't pull myself up into bed, I have no feeling so if I'm doing damage to my skin I won't have a clue. Weighing up the risks, gentle use of broken wheelchair is the better option.
    Had this happen before and despite me describing that the broken wheelchair couldn't be repaired, they didn't bring a replacement, sent someone out to look at the chair, didn't know when a replacement would be sent. I had to refuse to release the broken chair, sign a disclaimer to force them to get a new chair out as they were just awful. Don't think they have quite got their heads round that a paraplegic amputee with no feeling is not safe to bum shuffle-and I can't do it.
    Just have to see what the day holds.
    Have a good one everyone x.

    Morning all:)

    HappyKitties, that sounds like nightmare. On a forum I used to post on we did a naked calender to raise funds for a much needed wheelchair ramp for one of the regulars but I was younger and thinner then so I'll spare you that :D

    My train should be in London by now but we are still 5 minutes from home as there is something wrong with the doors which is a bit of a pain plus the person next to me has been eating garlic. I do however have my favourite seat :)

    All food for the day is brought from home. I'm going out tonight using Me T vouchers so only a drink to pay for. I feel guilty that I'm getting a nice dinner and DS isn't so I will bring him something nice in with me.

    I need to track down the person organising the resistance to a proposed development on local green belt, it has been rejected, the appeal has been rejected but they are taking it further. They will just keep appealing until they get their own way :mad:

    Hi Wednesday Penny-wranglers,
    A bit pushed for time today as have been out campaigning this afternoon but I have achieved a few frugal things:
    *Dropped Ziffit box off at collection point (with the 11 books I decided to sell to them. Best price £5.54, worst price 30p!
    *Went into town the same time as mr f as he was working locally & able to claim his parking expenses.
    *Picked a few sticks of rhubarb. Stewed some to go with my oats tomorrow & used the rest plus a wrinkly apple in a batch of mini-muffins.
    *Freezer dive tonight. Mr f is having a portion of mince on a massive jacket potato. I've dug out the final portion of turkey & sweetcorn chilli & a sweet potato which needs using up.
    *Tomorrow's packed lunch made.
    *Watered greenhouse veggies.
    *Wiped washing machine drum out after last night's 95 degrees maintenance wash with a mug of vinegar. Tons of gunk came out.
    *Laundry has blown dry outside.
    *Popped in Wilko's to see if the food cat likes was still on offer. Yes! Bought one as it's a saving of £1.60 per box & that sort of saving adds up over a year.
    *Posted a crossword competition.
    *2 baths from 1 lot of hot water.
    *A comrade bought me a coffee.
    *Knit more of my friend's sock.
    Cheers all,
    F xx

    Hello All

    I didn't get on yesterday as work's been pretty busy and I'm covering for the boss so I've had late evening calls to attend :( Oh well, another week and a bit and I can hand it all back!

    Today I:

    * Did one load of washing and hung outside to dry. Windy enough to dry quickly
    * All meals from home
    * Got an email from Tesco's confirming I had been accepted as a Home Panellist :T This is where I receive goods to try and then I write back to them giving them a review of what I thought. I'm also with BuzzAgent but haven't had anything to trial for them for ages..must check my profile and make sure it's up to date
    * Got in a lunchtime workout at home
    * Had to buy DD some shoes for prom. Got these with a 20% discount online
    * Need to pay for Prom tickets tonight £32 each! :eek:
    * Early night tonight.. I'm out in London tomorrow for drinks so need to conserve my energy :beer:

    Have a good evening everyone!

    Morning :) what a sweet relief that today is upon us and the additional work I have had the last 2 weeks is coming to an end :j Not sure what I am doing today in terms of my commitments but at most I will be volunteering 1/2 the day and then going to do the count at 10pm. The prospect of 1/2 a day to myself is very exciting! :T

    Small things to do:

    * return school uniform items to asda as too big and not the best quality
    * load of washing & hang up. Put yesterday's washing away
    * go to the allotment for an hour
    * sort my car out finally!
    * all meals from stores
    * read page book marked to make a water/sand table for madam - doing this for her birthday. Possibly go and get the materials
    * sort out the house!
    * have a lovely crafty session with madam after she comes home. She's been so good while we've been so busy so definitely is due some qt :A
    * [STRIKE]make madam's lunch[/STRIKE]

    Ok that'll do. Have a great day guys x

    Good morning all,

    Last day of the holidays and it's been lovely spending time with two of my lovely children, partners and grandchildren and mum and dad.
    It's not been a spendy holiday which is good. There are lots of facilities here including an indoor pool.
    We've only eaten out once, otherwise we have enjoyed cooking a meal each.
    Twins the Tesco gig sounds great, how did you get that?
    So today my son and his wife and daughter go home and we are back tomorrow. It's been wet most of the week but we have ignored it.
    A swim this morning then a pub lunch later. For our evening meal we be eating up as much as possible of the leftover supplies:)
    I have 13 parcels waiting to be posted tomorrow and lots more listing, back to work with a vengeance. DH is working the weekend,
    No paid hols when you are self employed.
    Have a good Thursday all x
