You're doing amazingly well. We have 5 children, but ours are all singletons, twins are a different league!
Must have been lovely to clear the student loan.
Wouldn't it be great if you had cleared all your debt by the time you market your house in Jan 2021?!

    Thanks

Would love to have it cleared by Dec 2020 if I'm honest! Here's hoping

I think you are a wonderful example of how you can clear debt even in straitened circumstances. To have a fairly large family and a years maternity leave and clear about half your debt is awesome. I think you get some help with childcare from your mum though don't you so I guess that helps. Childcare costs for twins must be crippling.

Today marks the day I'm back at work. Currently on my lunch break. Update so far is that the twins are settled with my mum. Still finding it hard to relax. Seems worse this time than previous times.

The twins are 1 now  twin 2 is on the cusp of walking. They've also discovered our bookcase :rotfl: books now precariously placed on the highest unreachable shelf!

This month marks the new increased payment target.

So close to the 50% mark now, you’ve done so well :)

Hope the first day back goes well, it certainly seems to be harder on the parents than the children.

    Take care x
  • Hope your first day back is going well, it is hard.

At least you know they have each other and they're with your mum. Probably as good as it gets as far as childcare goes!

You're so close to 50%, such an impressive landmark

    Thanks everyone,

The girls didn't seem to miss me and we're very settled for my mum.

The anxiety of the new routine has subsided a little so I feel I am able to relax a little more in work today.

On mse news I've budgeted £80 a month for possible parking costs if I'm unable to locate a free space. So far I've been lucky to get free spaces. Hopefully if I don't use this budgeted money I'll be able to split it between debt and some of my saving pots.

    Good morning.

Wow getting back to work has been a stressful experience. Being in work is my time to relax but the morning and evening rush is unreal. I keep forgetting things. I'm going to spend some time today making lists (I love lists). Lists of everything I need to do in the evening and lists for everything in the morning.

On a plus only another 3 weeks in work after today then on leave again for 3 weeks!
