    Hey Mummy_bear, Ive been gripped by your diary for the last day to two reading it all from start to finish. You are a machine, totally awesome, I am so in awe of what you have accomplished. I have started my own in hopes I can clear my feet you give me inspiration, Looking forward to the hearing how you are getting on.

    Hi Dreambig, thanks for reading and commenting. I don't write in here as often as life is so hectic but I'm happy that what I have managed to write has inspired. Can hand on heart say that if it wasn't for this diary I wouldn't have achieved half as much as I have.

    Do you have a diary? I'm going to look for it later if you have. I need to do a proper diary reading catch up

    Anyways, I was going through my figures yesterday and realised I hadn't update DH Loan figure. That's paid on the 1st of each month. DOH!

    On the topic of DH he has completed his probationary period :T he can now earn bonus which is roughly £200 a month. Whilst I'm on mat leave he's giving it to me then after that he's decided it'll go towards a home improvement fund. The main 2 things we need to sort is the garden fencing and the bathroom. Finger crossed by the end of the year we'll have got one or both sorted.

    Middle of the month update. Today is the last stat mat pay then nothing for the next two months :eek:. Hoping my savings stretch. DH has been earning bonus now his probationary period is complete in his new job. So he's been giving me a couple of extra hundred a month to ensure we have enough. I have a couple of kit days planned for end of April but that'll be for May pay.

    Really tired this week. Tornado toddler and one of the twins has picked up some sort of sickness bug...and they're only sick at night!! They've at least been taking turns with it.

    Twins aren't fully crawling yet but twin 1 does at super fast army crawl. She's actually given up gettig onto her knees. Twin 2 will get on her knees and rock but not figured out that she needs to move her knees. She also manages to get around by rolling everywhere! I have a feeling twin 1 may never bother with tradional crawling :rotfl:

    On some MSE news I've managed to switch my gas and electric onto a cheaper tarrif. So hopefully we'll see the benefits soon. Council tax bill came through and the increase is less than what I'd projected.

    Sympathies on the sickness bug. Your washing machine must be working overtime. You certainly have your hands full. Hope the money lasts over the last few months of your maternity leave. My DD went back as soon as the stat maternity pay finished as her DH had been very ill in hospital at the end of 2017 and was on half pay when her maternity leave started so a lot of their savings went then. Life happens eh. Bank of mum and dad helped out but they decided she would go back when my DGD2 was 8 months and just as DGD1 got her free hours.

    I think every age has its challenges.

    My eldest is 7 and has started to realise that school is no longer for playing and fun so we have some real strops there. Added to his attention issues at the moment and it's all go.

    Tornado toddler is now 3 and such an argumentative soul. She's fierce and bossy. She can be hard work as a result but I don't want her to lose that strong personality. She'll be a boss one day.

    Then of course the twins..every challenge in double :eek:

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Got a phone call from DSs school yesterday re Tornado toddler. She's hopefully starting in their nursery come September but they're thinking about the possibility of an after Easter intake. Tornado toddler would be considered for such an intake. They were seeing if I'd be interested. ... absolutely! !! She's more than ready. Plus if she gets in I'd have a couple of months of just me and the twins for chunks of the day. It would of course mean we'd have to get uniform etc and do her packed lunches...but it'll be worth it. Got everything crossed this happens.
    Behind on updates..,again!
    Actually didn't meet payment target for March.:eek: Normally DHs credit card gets paid towards end of the month, whenever his payday lands, usually the last Friday of the month. However, a muck up by HR at his work meant that no one got paid last Fridayand it went in on Monday. ...the 1st of April. DH has decided to set up a DD to pay the credit card on the 1st of each month now.
    At least I was only £6 off my target and could have been worse if I hadn't accidently made 2 payments to my HSBC :cool:
    Tornado toddler officially starts nursery/pre school after Easter :T Actually going to miss her company :( But she's more than ready.
    Eek almost a month away.
    OK so a quick update.
    I've managed another couple of KIT days at work and the twins managed very well without me. This makes me feel better for my return to work in July.
    Tornado toddler is now in full time preschool. She's fit in super easy, no separation anxiety. I literally have to remind her to say goodbye! I'm so happy for her. She's loving "going to school".
    Well into my no pay period of Mat leave and my savings are holding up. Honestly, so glad we started this debt free journey as previously wouldn't be in a position to be able to take any zero pay months, especially not with twins.
  • Great update, glad all is going well with you and with the kids esp with the ease with which your DD seems to have settled into "school". You're so close to 50% paid off and are doing great especially being on no pay at the moment.
