Hi everyone,
Been laid up with flu for a couple of days so thought I would catch up what’s been happening here.
Great cakes Soblivian! Really like your snowman. Have you got customers for them?
Shelley – hope you had (are having) a great time today! Just mind you don’t make any “wobbly” cakes till you’ve sobered up. LOL!
Candyb – It’s a shame you didn’t sell any cakes on your stall but I bet you will get the orders coming in, in a bit. It’s not the kind of thing you would buy unless you had someone in mind. Did you get any ideas what people liked the look of and didn’t?
Emma – Your cake is fabulous. A really “wow” first attempt.
Wendywitch – The only unisex colours I can come up with is, creams/beige and yellow. What colours are Spurs? Sorry! am a complete football phobic!
Have been having trouble wrapping my cakes. (first time attempted) When I scrunch the top up, things inside like ribbons etc move about with static. Oh well!! Onwards and upwards!!!0 -
Wendy have a look on the spurs site and see what merchandise they have for babies. Im doing a Plymouth Argyle one soon so it will mainly be green
Will def cost more to make but you could make the cake white with dark blue 'trim'.
So youd be doing a complete spurs themed one!Green and White Barmy Army!0 -
Well girls I'm back from a fabulous day of pampering and partying and suprisingly feeling ok considering how much I drunk and ate yesterday!!! I had to upload this pic of the limo we had - it was fab, Jo the bride couldn't stop crying lol:D
All went well until we leaving nightclub and I literally fell out - I stumbled on a step and smacked on the pavement so I've got a knackered shoulder now and its b***** agony!!! That will teach me and the shame of it (head is hung). I just hope its not on cctv LOL:D Don't know how I'm going to make some cakes I can't move my shoulder or arm
Candyb - don't be disheartened the orders will soon be flooding in.
Rusty - defo what the dr ordered no kids or hubs for whole day - i'll let you know when we are doing it again and you can come LOL. I hope your friends baby is ok what a shocker arriving that early. Happy cake making you are on a roll :T
Emma - your cake is fabulous and really professional :T
Moonpenny - sorry to hear you've not been well hope you are feeling better now:heartsmilLittle Miss Chatterbox

Shelley, Moonpenny, Bellag ..... Don't worry, I'm not disheartened, I honestly didnt expect to sell any anyway.
All I am interested in at the moment is getting word about. I had some great feedback, and people that I know have been taking some leaflets to pass on to their family and friends.
We've only been over here for 11 months, so need to get chatting to more people I think!! Maybe I'll have to have a drink in each bar (soft drinks of course!!!), carrying one round with me, making out I'm taking it to someone :T
A neighbour came to my stall yesterday, she works at the local airport here, she says that one girl will be going on maternity leave soon, so loved the idea that they could all chip in and buy a nappy cake, she's showing them all the leaflet tomorrow. Hmmm, wonder how many people work at the airportCould be a few orders there!!!
I just want to make more ....... and I have 17 here already (although 9 are small cupcakes)!!!
I'll just have to do some housework instead  or finish my pickled bums :rolleyes:A creative mess is better than tidy idleness0 -
Here's my second nappy cake, took it to a wedding fair today as I'm really an "edible" cake decorator!
