Thanks so much Becs. I am already addicted. I think I may just make a whole batch and walk round my local maternity dept just handing them out to all the new mums!!!** Karin **0

I know what you mean, I got addicted and was desperately trying to find excuses for doing more. I've done a few through work now and my cupcakes now seem to have overtaken everything else! Been doing loads lately.0

karinelleno your cake is fab! looks really cute with those booties on top.
Can I ask where you got your cream blanket from?0 -
A Thank you all for your comments. I’m sooooo!!! thrilled you like my cakes. You know how it is when you fiddle about for ages and then not sure if you like what you’ve done! It’s great to get other peoples views.
Candyb, I put florist ribbon round all tiers (under sleepsuit), folded sleepsuit to fit just behind top of blanket and put sleeves around tier to back and then put fancy ribbon around that. I put a few stitches in to hold blanket together.
The blanket was £3 job from Matalan. They have sold out of that one where I live but they have got new stock in identical colour etc but has aeroplanes on instead of jungle animals. Their blankets are such lovely quality fleece for £3. I have also got a lovely cream one with embroided hood at £3 and they have got new stock in cream & yellow but don’t know if they do “pram” blanket in that one yet.
Chazzy – the ribbons are bog standard florist ribbon with pink gingham and blue spot I got from local market. The middle one is from a roll of voil I bought from a wedding accessories shop. It’s the stuff they use to tie big bows on backs of chairs. It cost me £7.99 (about 12 inch wide) and 25 mt long. The girl in the shop said it doesn’t fray but it does if you handle it a lot. It’s quite expensive but I cut it in half.
Karinelleno, your cake looks lovely. Nice to see a splash of red!! Welcome to the madhouse!!!!0 -
thanks moonpenny...will look out for that voile...it finishes the cake off beautifully0
