Hi, Could someone let me know the best way to package a nappy cake for posting, I am making a nappy cake for my sister in law but will need to post it to her, how do I make the tiers stay together, and would it be safe to post just in cellophane, or would I need to box it?? If so where would I get such a large box?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank You

You would need to put it in a box as well if you wrap the cellophane tight enough the tiers should stay put

I've just finished a nappy cake ordered by a friend of the family. She wanted tartan ribbon and not too much pink! What does everyone think?

I've just got to ask my FIL if he can take it up to Scotland with him on the train - I hope it gets there in one piece!!

BTW thanks to whoever suggested the 'tube' method for the cellophane - it's so much easier!!

Instead of putting the cellaphane underneath the cake and bringing it together at the top you make a tube around the cake, tape it together then tape to the cake board underneath and tie a ribbon around the top. Hope that makes sense - can't remember who suggested doing it like that in the first place? They might be able to explain it better!! Make sure you post a pic when you've finished!

Oooh thats lovely - I actually got the matching bibs to your t-shirt in the next sale & will be making up a 'strawberry' cake with them at some point - maybe later in the year when knitted hats are more in demand as my MIL knits 'strawberry' hats that will go with the bibs so well!! well done - the blanket is lovely too - perfect colours!!
