    hi
i would say no, a couple of years ago i got offered a 1/4 page in an local mag that only goes out to big houses the type that ex england manager lived in, rather than name names etc we are talking lots of money people
the price was £60 and i was advertising along with a travel company that is one of the best (you were them on your feet) it was a load of rubbish never worked. Other girls i work with have tried different papers etc and
all have been a waste of time. Why pay that type of money £140 you need to sell 6 big cakes to breakeven. What about trying local hospital and see if they do a monthly mag or try local doctors and ask about putting a poster in reception. Contact your local free paper and ask what the price is. Is they any local charities ? if so what about finding out if they are having a fund raising and offer a nappy cake for the raffle
hope some of these are some use

Some one saw one of my adverts i have at a pre-school and wants to know if i would like to advertise in her local magazine that is sent to schools. I am very tempted but not sure how it compares price wise she has asked for £120 plus vat for one 1/4 page in one issuse or £200 for a half page. Does that sound alot? there are 4 issues per year if i did it i could only afford to do one issue.
I think its a lot to pay i wouldnt do it

Can I ask how you guys manage to get your tiers to 'stick' together? Do you attach something through the middle of all the tiers to keep it all in place?

Some ppl use something like a baby's bottle, baby bath products, etc inside to keep the tiers sturdy. I personally only use a mini wine bottle inside my 3 tier. The 2 tier stays together fine when cello'ed as others have said :)

can someone please advise where to get clear cellophane from, cheap of course, and how long should the width of the cellophane be in order to wrap a 3 tier cake? I have seen some on e-bay for 7.45 for 28 metres. Is taht a good price?

Made my first one the other day so really new to this and really have no time to read over 287 posts.
    thank you

Well after a few weeks of swearing at my sewing machine and iron, I have finally succeeded (I think) in finishing my 'nappy duty changing tool belts'.

One for Daddy, Grandma and Grandad

Sort of borrowed the idea from a lovely US site ;)
