Brilliant, what brilliant advertising that could be.
My maternity ward were too miserable to let me leave any leaflets, even though they thought the nappy cake I'd done for my cousin was great (even though they hadn't seen them before).

I've just come back from Home Bargins and noticed that they are selling 'Paint Rags' for 79p.
It consists of a plastic tub and made to look like a paint tin, with a metal handle and lid, with a baby's vest inside.
I only saw them in a lemon and green, but saw a lid on it's own in pink, so I guess they do them in at least 3 colours.
Might be something you could sell on your stalls.

Ooooh my friend FINALLY came & collected the girl cake she ordered - my first ever sale so have been desperate for her to come & get it for weeks & weeks!! Well she loved it and has ordered another one which she wants me to make up by Saturday!! YAY! Sale number two!!! She doesn't want to spend quite as much as the 1st one (3 tier @ £30) but more like £20-£25 so thats great too - gonna do a 2 tier I think & will post photos when I've 'baked' it! :T

Just waiting to hear from my best friend as well cos I took the finished 101 dalmations cake over to her house the other day for her to give as a gift from me to her friend who's had a little girl! Wanted to get her a gift plus thought it might act as a bit of an 'advert' as I know she knows lots of people of baby-making age iyswim!! :j

Also got loads of interest the other night at a friends work leaving do as I had a 'mock-up' of my leaflet with me and they all want me to send them leaflets so next thing on my list is to get them printed properly!!

Its a little quiet on here at the mo!! guess everyone's busy baking... ;)

    Well done !!

Its a great feeling when you get interest shown in your cakes, even better when you get firm orders !!
I have sold about 12 since Christmas and have a few orders in the pipeline

I really need to work on my photo's so I can get leaflets sorted, only today I was in a stationers in town ( I was getting a pram template photocopied ) and the assistant asked if I made and sold the prams so I said no I make baby cakes and explained what they were she ordered one for her daughter who is due in Sept so a bit of a way off, but an order never the less.

    Your Dalmation cake was fantastic,

    Cheers

    :j

I'm soooo excited!! My friend phoned earlier and her friend LOVED the dalmation cake - apparently kept saying its the best pressie she's ever had!! Its so lovely to get positive feedback isn't it!!! Also she had another friend there who is now interested & has told my friend she'll definitely keep me in mind!! :j:j

hi noticed you said you wanted a pram template photocopying, i am not sure what you are using it for but in macro you can get a set of 6 plain cards in the shape of a pram , now i am saying 6 but it could be 12, i have them upstairs somewhere, i thought we could cut them so one card makes two ,
only saying this incase its of some use

Almond, I've had a search, but this is all I can find.
A link to Becs previous post.

Sorry, just re-read the link, don't think they are from John Lewis after all ????

There are a few coming up here .......
