It's got: 60 nappies, 1 blanket, 1 muslin, 1 bodysuit, 1 pair of socks, 1 brush and comb, 1 elephant, 1 baby bath cream, 1 baby soap, some cotton wol.
Here it is:
Thank you x
This is beautiful, I love it! I love the cotton wool balls....I normally use shredded tissue but if you don't mind I'm going to try this...:rotfl:
As for your pricing see my other post just below yours. I spoke to my accountant about it and that's the way we price the products (100% mark-up).....otherwise it just isn't worth the bother......if it's to be a lot more than a hobby that is.
If you only want to do a few a year and it's more for fun than anything else then don't worry too much because they are so much fun to make quite often you're just looking for an excuse to make another!!
so please press my :T thanks :Tbutton x

Undercover angel that is lovely and I cant believe it only cost £15 to make!
kitiaracat yes the teddy is from asda, I had bought him before I actually managed to find some ellies at £1.50 in an asda I had previously looked in and they had none!
I have showed my bath cake to a few people today and they loved it!
And the person who ordered the neutral one seemed happy enough with it so all is good. (I charged them £14 - do you think this was ok?)
As for profit etc I have decided its not all about making money now, I enjoy making them that much!0 -
Just went to adsa and the ellies are still £3 and no sign of the baby event really needed a neutral blanket. Anyone know if there is any ellies for £1.50 in the midlands?
FeeFeeDee i know what you mean it is already stressing me out and giving me a headache budgeting for it. Yes her internet one was about £40 but said it was the p&p that bumped it up. She doesn't just want socks but at least 1 vest/bodysuit.
I looked in poundland yesterday and they don't sell flowers in any of the 3 stores near me. I don't know what i am going to do. The only other place i thought of was dunlem, not sure how much they are there though.:)Mummy to 2 wonderful boysWant to be fit for 30 not fat at 30but i want never gets!!!0 -
Hi Kitiaracat
I have never made a bouquet before , so am afraid I am not much help, but a couple of things come to mind!
Could you persuade a florist to sell you one of those boxes? Failing that, could you use a gift box or even a gift bag (you would have to put some oasis in this and maybe card)?
Wilkinson’s do quite good flowers (and also Charity shops) and if time is short, maybe you could use the whole bunch and add you baby things to it and then wrap in ribbon and a big satin bow. You could do it like one of those posy’s that stands up by itself on the stems.
I don’t think you should worry about it. If she only wants to pay £20 – then you get what you pay for! You don’t get jam on it as well! LOL0 -
Thought i would have a little play but what a blooming nightmare, I am giving up for tonight i'm way to tired. I dug out a bunch of silk flowers i bought some time ago but as they were all pinks i didn't think they would fit with her neutral theme. They are a whole bunch and can not be parted so i added the clothes around them and it doesn't look bad but i can't keep all the bits together as the bouquet is wider at the top there isn't much underneath for me to be able to wrap the clothes together with the flower stem. I tied a really tight ribbon around the whole lot and they all fell out! So i think i will have to attach them to some wire first. i have some florist wire anyway but no florist tape.
Just wish she had ordered this either much before or after my craft fair next sat as i have tons to do still for that.:)Mummy to 2 wonderful boysWant to be fit for 30 not fat at 30but i want never gets!!!0 -
I finally got to go to Asda today. Baby event was rather rubbish, no £1 blankets, it was just a bit of an isle with things like highchair,s some nappies (only size 3) and no boxes of 240. I got some johnsons products (Smaller than normal size) for £1 each, but the cotton buds were also £1, round the corner with the normal baby stuff they were only 68p though! I really wanted to get some ellies, but they didnt have anything. they had some big bears (far too big for a nappy cake) with the toys, a few tiny animals which are too small, and nothing else cuddly wise!
I got an eeyore hooded towle (which i th9ought was £3 but was £5) nd some other bits. im doing a cake for my mums friend, mum got a big piglit towel, its quite large and square, it has a chunky square border and piglit (with "P is for piglit") in the corner but im having difficulty trying to fold it. i just dont know how to do it so it looks good. on my first try i put 36 nappies on the bottom, the blanket looked ok on that but the rest didnt look "right" when i tried to do the rest of it so am trying to do it smaller. my mum doesnt like being able to see the nappies. ive got a pot of bedtime cream, a long sleeve/long leg suit with a cupcake on, a bib, some socks and this darned piglit blanket. I could really do with soem advice pleaseo nhow to do this so it looks nice!
I did a bathtime one with the hooded towel which im pleased with, i wish mum had wanted that!!!

Crazygeordiegirl- Lovely cakes, I like the bathtime one!
Here is my latest creation, my first 3 tier. I absolutely loved ding it!
It's for my mum (well for my mum to give to her friend) so I'm obviously doing it for cost price (about £15ish) but how much do you think I could sell one like this for to other people?

Wow - thats lovely!! I too really like the cotton balls!! :T and goodness you've got a lot of nappies in there!! I only put about 36-37 in my 3 tiers!!
and charge approx £30! To charge you need to charge full price of the items (not how much you actually paid) plus cost of ribbons & cellophane & then for your time! Its really gorgeous though and they'll be thrilled!! :T0 -
Hi
My mum went to Matalan and said that the hooded towels were on special offer if you bought two. Sorry I can't remember how much she said they were, but you know where to look!

Mini Baskets here on face book http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=30199550&op=3&o=global&view=global&subj=534186627&id=1054280950#/photo.php?pid=30302409&op=2&o=all&view=all&subj=50989916652&aid=-1&oid=50989916652&id=1414533030 and as you can see the long green bits sticking out which would be the bits i think you could use.
Also when doing sock buds i always to 1 pair of socks per bud but why don't you do 2 buds per pair of socks so for 4 pairs of socks you could have 8 buds plus 1 vest and may be 1 bid you should be able to do this for under £20.00 so would make some money on it. Going to e-mail you with some prices jhope you dont mindI Love My Computer Because My Friends Live In It0 -
