Stupid question - I know DD refers to a child but what does it stand for  I see it all the time and its driving me nuts:rotfl:

'Darling Daughter' ....... although at times I could call her many other things :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Has anyone used cello bags for smaller items? I think they would be better for my bodysuit muffins but can't find any that don't have the self seal tab.
I have used the card cello bags in the past and have just cut off the self seal tab.

    Slightly off topic ......

But has anyone seen any of the cheap 'thickish type' dust sheets around anywhere on their travels?
I want one to cut up ......... after dusting down the old sewing machine.

  • Goodness me there was lots to read today.

Some lovely cakes and bits and bobs to see too, I love those jelly cases, very cute!

Rusty, there are definatley pure white cellular blankets in B and M as I bought some yesterday.

I've been asked today if I can make a cream and lemon cake with a winnie the pooh theme but I'm not sure this is going to look particularly nices, what do you think? cream and lemon doesn't sound good to me.

I put an elastic band round the first nappy and then slot the other nappies into it, changing the band size if necessary. So if it is a 10" cake I only use two elastic bands.

Poundland do a huge bag of varying sized bands although I have run out of the large ones.

One that note does anyone know where I can buy large bands from?

I've actually bought a length of elastic instead of a band as I couln't find any large enough. Do you think that will work ok?

I was asked for a lemon and cream one and found this set at Mothercare.

That would be fine once the cake is the full size if you use the small ones first.

A cloth for a stand :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: at the speed I've been moving these last 2 weeks, I wouldn't have enough things to display come this time next year. (Enjoying the easter holidays too much I think).
Mind you if I get started again, I have that dreaded cowboy cake top of my list !!!
No, I just wanted some thicker material to have a play about with some printer transfer paper and thought this could be a cheaper option.
