Defamation. Written or oral statements made by one person to another, and made public ("published"), which tend to bring the character or reputation of that person into disrepute, or to expose them to unreasonable personal embarrassment. Defamation is called "libel" if it is printed and "slander" if it is oral. Truth is an absolute defense to defamation, and under some circumstances even untruths may be privileged and immune from liability.

Well on a brighter note I've been out today and bought all my bits for my first 2 cakes. Bought the huge box of huggies from Asda which someone reccomended for £10. Popped over the road to buy my ribbon and saw some lovely ssshhh baby sleeping ribbon. I also bought some pink satin and blue gingham ribbon as I may make a christening cake aswell if I have time and my cellophane arrives before the weekend.

Got lost of bits from asda to put in the cake as well bibs and sleepsuits etc and I've been collecting smellies for a while. Just need a nice blanket and a couple of soft toys but I think I need to pop to HB for those.

Can I ask do you actually put an elastic band around every single nappy after you have rolled it?

  • Do you have one of the scanner points in your store? I send DD with anything that I need price checked. You just scan the barcode and it tells you the price

    Sarah

Rusty has asked you nicely as have other forum members to please keep this off the forum
You honestly are not doing yourself any favors here
As its been said this is a friendly forum... so please keep that in mind when you are posting nasty, vicious threads especially ones that upset people.

I have personally read the paragraph that you are referring to and i can quite assure you that it is NOT word for word as you stated. Of course there are words contained within that are the same. As i am sure that those words would also be used on every nappy cake site and many others. Do you all think they have copied you also ?
The phrase. 'Do not compromise on quality' or 'family run business'. To name but a few are used on numerous sites. I believe the 'Do not compromise on quality' Is also used by a large supermarket !!

Now please keep this off this thread as you are making it very uncomfortable for people who are regular posters and readers of this thread.

    Thankyou

Personally I do use a band around every nappy after rolling then use one big band to keep them all in place. For the smaller ones I use the little clear bands which can be bought cheaply from most places then you can't see them once rolled up.

Sounds like you have had an eventful day nappy cake shopping! Remember to post pics :D

How about seeing if they have one of the toys and taking it to customer services ? They can always do a price check for you

Or if you have a card warehouse ( card shop) near you they have some bears that have pink/purple,blue or green pads and noses. They are 99p and very cute

    hth :D

I was in Clinton's yesterday and noticed that their "Forever Friends" Bears were half price. They had quite a few smallish bears with pink or blue gingham ribbons and also big bears cuddling little blur or pink bunnies - so cute!!

    Might be worth checking locally!

    HTH someone!

Has anyone used cello bags for smaller items? I think they would be better for my bodysuit muffins but can't find any that don't have the self seal tab.
