If you look at my 2 cakes you'll see how I do the socks. I dont have room on the top tier to put the extra sock, hense its one pair less. Not sure where I would fit more.

I dont use nappies in the top tier, it is just a rolled up muslin cloth. I felt the nappies made it too fat for the layer.

Am contemplating adding 2 bottles of J&J toiletries in the bottom tier of the 3 tier, just so it adds to the contents.

Where do you put the scratch mits?

I would personally put your scratch mits under your bottom ribbon, crossing over one another, if you know what I mean.

They look great by the way:D

What about adding something for the mum like a bath bomb or a hand made soap? I remove a nappy and replace it with a bomb or soap x

    Rusty,

Not sure if this helps but a friend had triplets 6 months ago and she said the best thing she ever did for the first few months was have everything in white, vests and sleep suits. it helped with washing as only 1 white load and she could send her hubby up for an outfit after an exploding poo and know the babies would be in an outfit that matched!

Hi Rusty - just wanted to add that white would be really nice with silver - I'm actually planning on doing an all white cake just with silver ribbons etc to give a different look for a neutral theme - could be lovely for your triplet cake as miss minx has suggested! I actually bought one of those paper banner things for putting round cakes (real cakes) that say 'Congratulations' on - got one in silver to use on an all white cake - will try and have a play tomorrow and post piccies HTH

Hi kr15snw, 2 "& 3 Tier cakes etc - I have had a similar problem with my new 2 Tiers. I have less nappies in them but as it was hard to get ingredients just right for the price difference, I decided to put inside different things to the 3 Tier and make sure the price was O.K.

For instance, my new ones are shoes on top so I decided to go with a baby bottle inside and a long sleeved t-shirt instead of a sleepsuit. I have still put some toiletries and other bits but different to the threes. Hope this helps.

P.S. Your cakes look lovely but why don't you vary the design on the front of the 2 tier or something ,then it won't look as if you are getting the same cake for a cheaper price. Does that make sense?
