I've only ever been able to find 1/2 inch thick here.

The best to use is Stemtex as it doesnt look plasticy like parafilm and it sticks so much better without stretching so much. Make sure you pull and press down a little to make sure it sticks.
There is a tutorial on you tube or the 'best baby shower' website that shows you how to make a sock rose.

Right guys, here is how much I pay for my items and what I use in each cake.

What do you think I could do about the 3 tier cake? Maybe add some more clothes? And take out some nappies?

    Opinions please!!

Maybe add another 1 or two pairs of socks to the triple (noticed it only had one pair) along with a dummy and a pair of scratch mitts. All these are pretty inexpensive but will 'add' to your contents.

Hi, i've not made meny cakes so i'm sure others will have better ideas.
Firstly how are you using the same ammount of nappys in both the 2 & 3 Tier cake?
Also you are using 2 pairs of socks in the 2 tier & 1 pair in the 3 Tier could you swap this round? Also maybe add a vest or baby bath ect to the 3 tier?

If you look at my 2 cakes you'll see how I do the socks. I dont have room on the top tier to put the extra sock, hense its one pair less. Not sure where I would fit more.

I dont use nappies in the top tier, it is just a rolled up muslin cloth. I felt the nappies made it too fat for the layer.

Am contemplating adding 2 bottles of J&J toiletries in the bottom tier of the 3 tier, just so it adds to the contents.

Where do you put the scratch mits?

I would add a few more nappies to each layer so you could put more nappies on the top if you look at one of my cakes i do get more socks on mine i just make them fit lol
