Thanks Julie and Becs,
I have got some boxes for my cupcakes and muffins. I've not actually made any yet lol! The lady in the shop wanted me to make them for teenage girls and women as I've already supplied her with the single baby sock rose buds.
I'll post pics when I'm done!
Oh and thanks Becs for the demo pics- they were fab!
I use 80cm cellophane to wrap mine but wrap it differently to most people on here. I wrap the roll around the cake so its like its wrapped in a 'tube' of cellophane. I then tape the seem and then cellotape the edges under the cake board and tie the top with ribbon etc.
I know some people are nervous to use this method as there is the risk the cake may fall out of the bottom but as long as you cellotape the cake edges securley with LOTS of tape its fine. I've not had a single incident with a cake falling out and you only use a meter or so of cellophane so its a little more economical and you get a neater finish around the sides of the cake with less creases.
80cm is just about enough to wrap a three tier like this.
If however, you are only doing the one or two cakes then it may be best to stick to Becs method of under and up.

Hi everyone
Made another cake today after I finally found a white blanket at a reasonable cost that I like - not as nice as the lovely bobbly ones some of you use but I think it looks nice - let me know what you think. I'm a bit undecided regarding the topper option as the soft toy is not suitable from birth!
and with shoes as a topper instead...0 -

bellag - Have always thought it would be easier to wrap cake by your method, think I will give my next one a try.

Popkins - What a fabulous cake!!!! I prefer the puppy on top.
The shoes look a bit lost. Could you lift the back of the shoes a bit so they are more on display?
I am in process of making 2 Tiers with shoes on but not sure if they will sell.0 -
