Not looked on this thread since yesterday, MAria your cake looks fantastic! Well done, now do you need my address to post it to me? :P Well done, I love the clothes ;)

Popkins, sounds like a disaster for you, glad you sorted it though and well done as it looks so beautiful, the ribbon looks fantastic on the cake!

Popkins - Love your cake. I have been looking for a pink rabbit but don't have a Tescos near me :(

I don't have a HB here so my bobbly blanket was from Sainsbury's. Had to pay £6 for it although they are normally £8.

Maria and the imps I also forgot to say about your cake. It's really good, it's nice how you've used very different colours etc from the norm!

Popkins your cake is fantastic, I can't believe it's your first one! Your blanket is so neat! Well done!

Maria and the imps, Well done on your first cake. I bet you will be making another soon, whether you have anyone to make it for, or not! ou won't be able to help yourself!!!!!

Irlrip - Your Duck cake is gorgeous, can't wait to see your other colours!

Popkins, It's a problem when you havn't got the "right" shops near you. I live 12 miles from nearest 3 towns in different directions (with a great variety of shops), But I have to go everywhere by bus which has it's own problems.
I see you got your Dalmation stuff from Asda. The white bobly blankets would look good with the spots. Will keep a lookout for anything else.

    Anyone help please?

What is the best way to put padders onto a cake.

Do I put them on the sides (flat) or on the top and pad them out or any other ideas.

    Thanks

lrlrip i've just had a friend ask me to make a cake for her with booties. i'm planning on padding them out and using them as the cake topper instead of a teddy hoping that the cello keeps them ontop of the cake without the need to try and somehow stick or pin them on. will see how i get on when i come to make it.

Are you goin to thainstone tomorrow?

lol thats what i meant - to go and have a look n see if that stall was there. i'm going into town today to buy some bits for the cake i was asked to make yesterday. really hope i get the stuff i want in the first couple of shops and won't have to trail any further than union street. I got some more cello from sims the other day 50cm wide is perfect for cakes and got 28m roll for £3.45 thought that was pretty good
