Also if anyone can help me one of my best friends friends is having twins and I promised to help her make a cake for her??!! Does anyone have any suggestions for twin cakes or has anyone ever made one before?! Not really sure where to start x

Hiya, I made a twins cake- it had 2 blankets, 2 pairs booties, 4 pairs socks, 2 teddies, 2 bibs, 2 vests etc. It was for a christening for 9 month old boys. Heres the pic of it - front and back:

    Hi everybody old and new.

I've finally got all the bits for my bouquets to add to the website and thought I would post a pic of a unisex bouquet I made for a friend just before Christmas.
It contains: 1 short sleeve bodysuit, 1 muslin cloth, 1 feeding cloth, 1 bib, 3 pairs of socks, 3 artificial roses and some greenery.
I'm still working on the ones I'm going to sell but they will look similar to this but with two layers of tissue paper in different colours and some spikey greenery too.

Question for Julie: do you know where I can get some really wide stemtex? I thought it would be easier for taping the vests etc with wider tape.

Thank you Rusty for reposting my pic :D:D
Lesley mac the twin cake is a lot more difficult to do and VERY heavy but I really enjoyed making it.
Bellag - your cakes and bouquets are fantastic. They look so different and professional.:D
Moonpenny - what a nightmare for you!!! Like Rusty said if you try rolling the outfit as small as possible it may fit in. The giraffe cake I've recently made had 3 sleepsuits and 7 bodysuits in :eek::eek::eek: as well as 3 large Johnson's products :eek::eek:. I always roll the clothes small and it seems to work ok. You will probably have a very big chunky cake but you are a pro at nappy cake making so it will look lovely i'm sure.;);)

I've got 2 cakes ready to go now - a lady is collecting one at 1630 hrs (she lives about 20 miles away) and I'm delivering another one locally. Better get a move on because I'm still in my pj's having just got up off nights :(

I have difficulty too- it is either too expensive, awful green colour or looks really plasticy and tacky if you know what I mean?
I get a lot from Dunelm mill and some from hobbycraft and some stuff in Wilkinsons is ok. Although the rose leaves I got from my local florists. They are going to give me the details of their wholesaler and I will see if i can set up an account with them...thats if i decide I want to buy it all in bulk. They have a minimum order of £75 before vat!
