I've been browsing the thread and think all the nappy cakes are really good; they look very impressive.
I have 2 friends and a cousin who are expecting babies this year, and I was thinking of trying to make some nappy cakes myself. Please can I ask what do you put in the cakes and what are the best shops to buy the things from.
Thank you in advance.

Well just returned from Asda and they are selling the elephants for £2.20 each so thats 2 for £4.40 and they are advertised as 2 for £5. So I picked up one pink and one beige. Would have bought more but will wait for pay day next week now.
freetobeme - I put a sleepsuit, vest, talc, soap and bath bomb for Mum hidden in each of my 3 tiers and tend to stick to it as I know it all fits well. I also use a baby blanket on the bottom tier. I've been asked to do a custom made one where she has already bought all the items to go in and I dont know what yet so that will be a big challenge for me. Saying that though I did do a Mamas and Papas Linear Zoo one where all the items were bought by my friend first and that turned out ok.Little Miss Chatterbox

Freetobeme- For my 3 teir I use nappies, a hodded blanket/towel, 2 sleepsuits, 2 bibs, a muslin cloth, a toy, 2 bottles of johnson baby product (depends on colour of cake. I.e I use the pink stuff for a pink cake) and 2 pairs of socks. I also use a large bottle of talc in the middle or a bottle of wine if the customer pays an extra £5.Green and White Barmy Army!0
