Nappy Cakes

I have my first four almost finished just waiting on the toys to arrive.
It seems that no-one in my area has heard of "nappy cakes" so I can't wait to get some pics. done to let them see. The one person that has seen the first one I have made has offered to distribute leaflets for me. I really just did this for a gift and for fun but maybe I will take it the next step if people like them.
I will now need to come up with a name and think about advertising.
My daughter suggested "Tiny Tiers", what do you all think?
Hi Irlip, please don't go rushing in without making sure you are not breaching copyright anywhere. Tiny tiers is actually taken as this was one of the names I had suggested to me and after spending hours searching through I found it was already taken. Infact quite a lot of them are taken (I only have 2 domains I promise!) I think if you go to https://www.123-reg.co.uk then you can check to see if a domain already exists, and it is also the cheapest place to buy your domain so you can use it if that makes sense. Remember that .co.uk and .com are the major websites used, so these would probably make more sense to buy (this is what I have done for mine, although still no website!)Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

Thanks for that. My husband has recently started his own business and has had to obviously register as a Ltd. co. he checked the site that his accountant advised and Tinytiers has not been taken. When I check the site that you have given me it says it has, so I am confused.
Does a domain name mean that that person has a company or just bought the e-mail address.
I have no intention of selling thorough the internet, just locally, by word of mouth and a bit of advertising locally. So can I do this without a domain name.
Sorry to be thick but I have no ideas about these things.0 -

Hi Irlip,
Tinytiers is a registered company, therefore they will have copyright over the names aswell. The website domains are in use both the .com and the .co.uk are both in use by the same company who are registered as a business in Hyde.
You can find information out by using https://www.whois.net
Therefore you would not be able to use that name for your company name.
I use https://www.tiers-for-rears.co.uk and also the .com these are both registered to my partner, I have the email accounts set up and I am yet to do a website.

I had a phonecall yesterday from my friends mum asking if the nappy cake she ordered was ready  . I honestly forgot all about it as I bumped into her about 3 weeks before Christmas and we had a long old chat when she mentioned her niece was having a baby and could I make her one. Panic stations but fortunately I had all the stuff here so I had to make it up quickly this morning.
I fancy i've gone very scatty brained recently :eek:Little Miss Chatterbox
