Hmmm think I need to start taking some nice photos, do you guys use light tents?
I know I need to keep a record of them all, as people have started to ask about them so I need to keep some pics on me I think. LolGreen and White Barmy Army!0 -
Thanks everyone for the feedback on boxes, I do agree with cake boxes as definately goes with the theme! I loved Bellag's idea of having a cup cake stand with individual ones on aswell and definately keen to do that!
Becs

Hi everyone – Sold my M&S Duck Cake. I am chuffed to bits. My DIL asked me to email my pics to her works (Health Service Trust) and she sold it straightaway.
She said, I will probably get more orders cos everyone loved them and the e-mails are doing the rounds. Am panicking now as I can’t make them very quick!(and I keep changing my mind about design and what to put in.) Glad to hear I am not alone in this.bet you are over the moon
Rusty, Your leaflet was great. I have managed to print out some ingredient labels but I can’t come up with a name I like so I’m stuck at the moment. As your hubby is the expert in this sort of thing – does he think the leaflets created in “Publisher” are O.K.The pic I put up is just my banner I use it on ebay and also on my flyers as the header. I put up pics of my cakes on here and asked for help with the names so maybe you could do something similar? I also bought domain names I have 3 seperate domain names and all go to one email address if that makes sense. Again something OH did

Chatty, your pink cake is fab. I like making pink ones too which is strange as I don’t like pink! LOL. (think it’s cos I have a son and grand son and no girls)
Great idea about the butterflies and stuff from £1 shop.
Becs, There are some lovely cake plates in BHS with hearts and flowers on but quite expensive. I also saw some in HB other day for £1.49. They are plain aqua colour but not very big. Matalan also had some white ones but don’t know price.0 -
Moonpenny- forgot to say congratulations on your sale of the cake! Your cakes are so amazingly professional looking that i'm sure you are going to sell loads in the weeks to come! Good luck!

Bellag,
Of course I wouldn't mind you copying the cupcakes, what is it they say imitation is the highest form of flattery! :rotfl:
I wanted to try and find some different muffin cases as not sure I'm mad on the Winnie the Pooh ones for everything. Think They'll be fine for unisex ones but wanted to find some Pink, Blue and Xmas ones as well. Does anyone know where I could look for some, Ebay seems limited?

Moonpenny,
I'm keeping a book of outgoings and income and receipts so I can submit a tx return next year if necessary. If Nothing else I read somewhere about you may be able to claim Tax back if you're not making anything! Need to be extremely thorough for that though and add in transport costs and some utilty bill costs such as lighting and heating for the times you are at home making them. I think basically you put as much as you can through the books so to speak and it probably turns out we're all breaking even!0 -
Ronnie, thank you!! Do they sell toys then aswell? And how big are we talking?
