A question for everyone regarding my cupcakes pictured below. Some people have suggested changing the box to a clear box so people can see the contents. I'm in 2 minds about it, can see why they're saying that but the other part of me says they're meant to be cakes so a cake box seems more appropriate. What does everyone else think?

Becs personally I would prefer it in a cake box ... if you are doing a stand then maybe have one open so they can see the contents (or a couple of you are doibng various colours?) then the rest closed and wrapped? I would stick to the cake boxes for the effect :)

Sorry I completely managed to miss your post!

Thanks everyone for the feedback on boxes, I do agree with cake boxes as definately goes with the theme! I loved Bellag's idea of having a cup cake stand with individual ones on aswell and definately keen to do that!

RF I am having a play in publisher at the moment designing a logo. My DH has a designer at work who will probably do our website for us and may get him to look at the logo if can't do anything I'm happy with myself.

    Hi rjh090384

Sorry nearly missed your post. Boxes are from bag'n'box man 6" square. Muffin cases were off ebay but from a UK seller.

Does anyone know where I could get the cherry type buttons I've been currently using? At the moment buying them from Dunelm for 89p for 8 I think.

I use 0-3 months on the top layer but 3-6 on the second layer. then they can dismantle it layer by layer if they wish i also use size 3 nappies as usually new mums have stocked up of first size.

by the way the chiffon ribbon and butterflies are from a kiddies fairy skirt and matching headband from the poundland shop. i dismantle the butterflies and untie the chiffon and give it an iron over. they are a perfecr baby pink.

Hi everyone – Sold my M&S Duck Cake. I am chuffed to bits. My DIL asked me to email my pics to her works (Health Service Trust) and she sold it straightaway.

She said, I will probably get more orders cos everyone loved them and the e-mails are doing the rounds. Am panicking now as I can’t make them very quick!(and I keep changing my mind about design and what to put in.) Glad to hear I am not alone in this.

Rusty, Your leaflet was great. I have managed to print out some ingredient labels but I can’t come up with a name I like so I’m stuck at the moment. As your hubby is the expert in this sort of thing – does he think the leaflets created in “Publisher” are O.K.

Can I ask everyone – are you all doing this as a legit small business? (tax man etc)
I am getting a bit worried about this at the moment. I have saved all my receipts and noted all I have bought but have only sold a few cakes over the few weeks I have been making them. I know there is a 3 month thing about starting a business but I cant see it ever becoming more than just a “paying hobby”. I cant even do craft fairs as I don’t have transport.

Don’t mean to be “nosey” but all your views would be appreciated.
