... I am hearing more and more that PPCs are telling their clients to "stay out of the process" which is why we get a lot of push back from shops, landowners, Management Agents etc. Thankfully McDonalds are ignoring it ... (however why they agreed to pay for a cancellation is beyond me!)

Why should companies stay out of the process ?

They are very ignorant if they don't understand that Parking Cowboys
    will lose them business

Why should companies stay out of the process ?
They shouldn't ... but they do because the PPCs don't want them involved and want to force people down the "appeals" routes which are doomed to failure (e.g. IPC) meaning people get fed up and pay. The PPC's convince their clients that the "appeals" processes are totally fair and transparent and encourage their clients to not get involved as it is less hassle for them to force the use of the "fair", "structured", "transparent" and "above board" appeals processes ...

From my experience to date, I am utterly convinced that most people who engage PPCs do not realise that these "appeals" processes are fundamentally flawed until it is far too late. So I agree, they are very ignorant and/or very naive ...

Landowner / MA / Shop education is the way forward, hopefully this upcoming Tonight programme might help educate some ...
  • Thank you for your comments - I thought it important to share because of those comments. Always nice to have some 'inside' correspondence.

I also, find it amazing that companies agree to these kind of terms.
Hopefully we'll receive a hard copy confirmation also.

    Thanks
