Wrong Location Address on PCN

We've today received a PCN for a McDonald's restaurant that we visited on 21May. We never saw any parking signs and therefore were not expecting the PCN to arrive.
On looking closely, the address is a mishmash of two different restaurants - the one we visited and one that had no car park.
Do we send the appeal letter as normal or is there another template we should use given the photographed location, time, and date do not correspond to a visit we made?
We have the receipt for the restaurant we visited also which shows the different address.
Many thanks!

I would use the template but add a carefully-worded line (not saying who was driving) stating that the occupants of the car were in xxxxxx restaurant, here is their receipt, and the Notice to Keeper appears to be a mishmash of two different restaurants - the one the car visited and another one, that had no car park.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thank you, think that's how we'll do it - I just wasn't sure if there was a separate template for not even being there!:D0
-
How did you get the PCN via ANPR or a warden photographing you and what was the alledged parking infringement on the ticket?0
-
It was ANPR and we overstayed by 23 minutes (took us 30min to even place an order... then we had to feed and toilet a 2 yr old and a 1 yr old).0

The paragraph we have drafted is;
'The occupants of the vehicle were in McDonalds A, the receipt for this can be seen attached. The address on the Notice to Keeper appears to be a 'mishmash' of the restaurant the car visited, a restaurant that does not have it's own car park (McDonalds,, and another restaurant (McDonalds, C).'

Who is the PPC that has sent you the ANPR PCN?'The occupants of the vehicle were in McDonalds A, the receipt for this can be seen attached. The address on the Notice to Keeper appears to be a 'mishmash' of the restaurant the car visited, a restaurant that does not have it's own car park (McDonalds,
, and another restaurant (McDonalds, C).'
Have you tried contacting McDonalds and getting them to kill this stone dead via them demanding the PPC cancel?0 -
I'll give that a go 0

If you go down the route of a McDonalds cancellation be prepared for a load of "nothing to do with us" rubbish ... you will need to be forceful and polite and don't get brushed off at level 1 ... you may need to go to head office etc. and give it the "you advocate penalising your customers?" broadside.
Last resort you can go on their Facebook and Twitter feeds, explain what happened and ask them in public view what they are going to do about it ...0 -
why wont you name the PPC on here ?
knowing who it is might mean you get better advice , withholding the name wont help anyone at all and there is no benefit to not naming them0 -
Have just called the branch and they have asked for the registration, the PCN number and have said they will email MET Parking Services (the PPC? No idea what that means, sorry) and notify them that we shouldn't be charged (they'll also be CC'ing me in :money:).
I was going to attach an image of the Notice to Keeper letter but can't seem to do that - sorry.0
