    what they said ^^^^^^^^^^^^^

answering interminable questions that cover the same ground and topics daily is "like" eating beans on toast 3 times a day (once a week is probably true in my dietary case) , it has an effect on our regurgitating the same old c*** on here daily just the same however

in this case I did say the question was valid and the response was a good one , if you hadnt made it personal then neither would I

most people would take the advice on board, ALL OF IT , because this wont be the last pcn that you receive as these sc@mmers are everywhere , airports, railway stations , hospitals , doctors surgeries , dental surgeries , schools , supermarkets , retail parks , business parks , gyms , swimming pools , theme parks , tourist areas and the like

and most people I know , including schoolchildren as well as adults , have access to every device , which includes mobile phones , tablets , laptops and smart tv,s etc, so every "smart" device known to man

but a laptop is unbeatable when it comes to important and legal matters , which is why solicitors use them (plus all the other devices too) , plus my teenage grandchildren use them daily (as well as their samsung J5`s) at school or at work, my sons use them daily at work and at home and my daughter in law also uses them at work and at home (plus they all have tablets and smart phones too)

my son was recently looking at cars for sale on a website and he could not see all the small print in the car description for all its onboard features, so he was told to use a laptop like myself as I could see everything they were offering including satnav and bluetooth connectivity , so clearly a phone cannot see everything a laptop can

I have been pulled and prodded and scanned and "examined" for over 30 years and can assure you that there is nothing they can do about my A.S. its incurable

however, you (mrandmrs) are "strikingback" at the wrong people

your angst and ire and wrath should be turned on mickey dees (and others) who allow their contractors to harass legitimate customers and in some cases have them issued with a CCJ and thereby credit clamp them (which has replaced car clamping)

My responses have never been serious, I'm all for a bit of jest - laughter makes the stresses in life far easier after all.

Thank you to Safarmuk for the advice and thank you Red for detailing what the acronym PPC means.

Remember, communication is made up of many factors - 7% verbal and 93% non-verbal therefore the message you send may not be the message that is received - just food for thought...

And on that note, I will let you know if I hear from MET parking; I have my email from McD's to them already so fingers crossed. If I don't hear anything, I have the contact at MET's email address now.

It is certainly more amusing than the Groundhog day ''HEEEEEELPPP!! I'VE GOT A DRP LETTER!'' ones.

Don't contact MET! At least not without seeking advice from this forum first.

    "Hi,

Thank you for your email. This case has been cancelled and closed on our systems.

    Regards

Please note that your cancellation has been processed under the terms and conditions of your contract. As detailed in your contract, this cancellation may be chargeable. Receipt of your email confirms you are authorised to action this cancellation and except invoices for the subsequent changes that are raised.

If you get an enquiry from motorists that received a PCN please direct them to the instructions in the documentation or refer them to the MET Parking website. This will explain them how to appeal the parking charge notice. Please do not comment or give any opinions as the motorist will use this as part of their evidence. All PCN’s need to go through the written appeal process in order to be reviewed

That is good news for you

What is amazing is that McDonalds actually signed a contract
that MET could charge them for a cancellation ???

What is wrong with these high street companies, don't they
understand what they are signing ?

Clearly MET have got the huff with their comments.

They need to kick MET out before they lose McD's customers

I bet that MET did not mean to send the last part to you as it has
now exposed the way they operate

    Bad one Georgina

Not forgetting of course that McD's are liable for the actions of their agents

Thank you Mr&MrsW for letting us know about the cancellation confirmation and good job getting it cancelled. This is done and dusted for you now.

Keep that email safe - I am presuming the subject or McDonalds email contains a reference to the PCN # and/or VRN and date of incident to avoid any doubt?

Thanks also for posting the full text. This bit is very interesting ...

... I am hearing more and more that PPCs are telling their clients to "stay out of the process" which is why we get a lot of push back from shops, landowners, Management Agents etc. Thankfully McDonalds are ignoring it ... (however why they agreed to pay for a cancellation is beyond me!)
