    We see plenty of posts on here from people who bought a cheap item from the US then receive an invoice for about the same price they paid...

    I think the OP was expecting the parcel to be shipped by something like US Mail which would allow it to be tracked to the USA port, so when it arrived in the UK and passed to a UK courier it would not be tracked, but as Fedex operate in both USA and UK they will collect the item and deliver it.
