Amazon seller scam

It sounds like a section 75 claim is the way to go here (assuming you paid by credit card vice debit card).
It sounds like the item wasn't sent using Amazon's Global Shipping Program which allows you to pre-pay the VAT and duty? Don't shoot the messenger, but expect to receive an invoice from Fedex shortly for the duty, VAT and handling fee. I would strongly recommend that you pay this (it'll be swiftly passed to a debt collector if you don't), you can then include the cost in a Section 75 claim. If you go the chargeback route and are successful you can probably claim the VAT and duty back from HMRC but you're stuck with Fedex's handling fee.0 -
if live with my family and no one were home and i have all the proof how did someone signed for that order? first of all the order had to be signed be me and the courier doesnt even checked if the guy who got the order was me. no the phone is international version and works also in uk with no problems. i tried to tell them to give me courier number but they wont asnwerangryparcel wrote: »you also state
if they handed to a resident then it could not be you that signed for it, but Amazon have 100% NOT scammed you.
You purchased from a USA website, the item was sent to you and courier says delivered and signed for.
To me this is a Courier problem, but unless you employed the courier then you have no contract with courier, this has to be down to seller or whoever employed the courier.
All the CCTV showing you at work means nothing as i stated it is delivered to an address and anyone at that address can sign for it and it seems the courier has a signature from your address.
You would need to apply USA laws in this case, even if you did get it them 9/10 it would have been useless to you as from a USA site it would only have a USA warranty and work on USA wavebands0 -

Not true. They are instructed to deliver to an address. Anyone at the address can sign on your behalf.0 -

This is what I was thinking when I first started reading that you ordered from Amazon.com
Unfortunately, it's not going to be cheap and will probably make the handset more expensive then if you had ordered from the UK.0 -
well i just checkedbabilonte92 wrote: »im based in uk, bought the phone from .com cause it was cheap
from .com cheapest i could find in $699 (equiv. £542.41) then your have VAT, duty etc. to pay
from .co.uk same phone £434.99
so how is .com cheapest0 -
so the phone will have a USA warranty and USA bands, so would be useless in UKbabilonte92 wrote: »the seller was mercate group and its based in florida0
