    I am looking for a dvd HDD recorder for my dad's chrissy pressy and am a bit clueless. Am I right in thinking that if its got Freeview in it then you cant record from an external source. As my dad has Virgin Media would this mean he couldnt record from it? As he often has 2 videos recording different chanels at the same time is there one that can record 2 chanels at once whilst watching another? Any help much appreciated, I feel a bit of a thicky!

    What do you think Sky+ is? It's a HDD recorder with a tad more functionality to it.
