Yeah, it was a bit of struggle earlier. Everyone is trying to see how much interest they got today ;)

I just tried logging on and received the following message, after a 30 sec hang:
Due to essential maintenance the Alliance & Leicester Internet Banking service is temporarily unavailable.

Funny. OTOH, the interest is paid on or about the 24th or 25th of the month. It worked AOK just now, even using tabbed browsing on IE7 and 56kbps dial-up.
The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life. :)

I've been trying all day and only just managed to login so looks like the maintainance is now complete

Yippee!!! I left a quid in the OnlineSaver One account which has earned 13p interest.

Yes I've been trying all day too - just succeeded and moved some money. They have been applying interest to accounts so I felt quite pleased when I saw how much I had gained. Still very slow though.
Anyone tried Bradford and BIngley site - can get on but as soon as I click on Savings, it crashes my internet connection

Sorry if I'm being thick here but I've just managed to get into my direct saver account to view interest for September. I've just been at the gym for over an hour and my brain must have gone as I can't agree the interest credited to my account. At 1st September after the last lot of interest was credited the balance was £15,275.58. I understood that the interest rate was 6.3% gross wef 2 August but only £76.75 gross for September has been added and there have been no other transactions during the month. Also although both the balance and interest rate is higher than the previous month the gross interest added for August was £78.91. Can anyone help explain or have I just missed something obvious..........

I also have about £6 less in interest this month compared to last despite no change in the balance for months? I'm not too concerned about £6 but just curious how that interest amount can drop when the interest rate of the Directsaver certainly has never dropped, at least not in recent months.

Mines £75.77 interest (net) on just under 19k, last month was £77.92.

Isn't it to do with september having 30 days? Last month the money earned another days interest.
