Just caught up on surveys and had more points than I thought in one account. After checking, it seems I've been awarded some 'loyalty reward points' whatever they are, so I've cashed them in for another £5 amazon voucher. :j That'll be £15 built up in the Amazon account now (I previously spent £10).Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £52,056.86

Awful evening last night and lots of tears.
Yet more worrying and devastating developments with my Mum's cancer diagnosis and very imminent high-risk surgery going to take place any day without much notice, just to determine what they're dealing with.
Topped the evening off with the discovery that a good proportion of the newly decorated house will have to be stripped and remedial damp works undertaken as discovered horrific mould and damp behind a newly put up mirror and shelf. I might as well have papered £20 notes to the wall as I paid over £1600 to have it all done and it's ruined. May cost thousands to repair which I just don't have.
Builder also still hasn't turned up to do the bathroom.
I feel like totally giving up at the moment to be honest.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £52,056.86

Thank you lovely. I've booked someone to come out tomorrow to take a look at the damp, but I have a feeling I will need to speak to next door about it too and they are not the nicest neighbours to have.
It all came to a head last night when I went to make myself a comforting cup of tea, only to realise I had no milk! :rotfl::oMortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £52,056.86

Thanks everyone, it's so hard to keep going sometimes when life keeps throwing things at you isn't it.
OH came over and tried to cheer me up last night, think he was a bit worried about me as he hasn't seen me quite so low before. I'm usually pretty upbeat about most things, or put a brave face on but I just couldn't last night.
The thing that is concerning me most about the whole house situation is that I just don't have any money to remedy the situation. It really does hit home that I need some (a lot) of savings behind me, but I'm finding it so hard to build them up being single, working part time, trying to pay things off and keep the house running as it is! That lottery win would be so welcome right now.
Anyway, back to reality... the car is in the garage this morning, I'm hoping it will be cheap. I've had to transfer money from the saving to cover it as I'm waiting on the tax credits and child benefit to come in, also some money the ex owes me (which I have reminded him about 5 times now ) which I'll use to pay a chunk more off the credit card. Talking of which, I had to use it yesterday to buy more wallpaper to match the new stuff just put up (and now ruined). Couldn't afford to use the bank account, so that's £47 more on the credit card now.
My club lloyds annual rewards came in today, so I have 6 free cinema tickets to use. Not the normal cinema we go to as parking is expensive there and the traffic is a bit of a pain, but they're free so I'll take them!
Mr T shopping was delivered yesterday, just under £50 spent. I cancelled a lot of the fresh stuff as I remembered we are going back to see my parents, so won't be at home for a few days.
A coulpe more surveys to do this morning, must keep my motivation up with those at least as the vouchers will help come Christmas.
Have a good day all
