I agree keep the money as your emergency fund, at least then you know you're less likely to add to the card should something sneak in unexpected.
As for DS please don't worry about it until the time when it's needed. There is loads of help around and can be found. I think it's a bit of a postcode lottery but there will be something so please don't have the added worry about that.
Big hugs x
Thank you Hidden. I do feel better knowing the emergency fund is being built back up again. xxMortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,706.16

A few more surveys completed this morning, none particularly close to cashing out yet they seem to have slowed down a lot lately. I still have to chase up the missing surveys I have completed for loads of points from one company. They don't seem to be very good at ensuring points are received and their surveys are very glitchy, so I think I will give that one up when I've received the rewards I'm due.
Resisted the overwhelming urge to buy breakfast from the bakery on the way to work this morning, and lunch as I hadn't planned anything. Instead, brought some porridge and had with some frozen berries (which turned it proper purple!) and have beans on toast for lunch. Saved around a fiver there and a few hundred calories no doubt!
Tonight I need to post the ebay parcel and some business orders.
I've also sent around £100 profit to the bank account from the business which will be paid off the credit card when it arrives. :j I just wish I was paying it off the mortgage instead of the credit card, but I'm determined that I will be soon.
Off to watch DS at swimming lessons tonight and then a night in with OH. I just need to pick up a bit of lactose-free milk for DS tonight and I think that will be all the spends needed, other than postage, but that's accounted for within the business.
I need to get diesel in the next day or two as DS and I are off to stay with my Mum and Dad for a few days and it's a 3 hour drive away. Just hoping I can hold it together around them for DS's sake.

First part of business profits hit the account, so I have just paid £53.82 off the credit card (rounded it up by 79p to make the balance a round number
). Outstanding balance now £937, but will shortly be under the £900 mark when the remaining bit of money shows up in the account.

£5 Amazon voucher finally received from survey rewards, so I've credited that to the account. Another £20 Paypal rewards claimed from a different survey account which will be paid off the credit card when it arrives. :j
The rest of the business money has hit the account so am off to pay it off the credit card now.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,706.16

Right... Another £40 paid off the credit card, outstanding balance now (just
) under the £900 mark, at £897. Wouldn't it be great if I could get it down into the 700s this month.
£1.79 swept to the mortgage OP pot, now £5.77 in there. When it reaches £10 I'll make another little OP.
I need to fill up with diesel today and cross everything that the relatively flat tyre I had last night was just down to needed inflation rather than a puncture or anything dodgy.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,706.16

I do like your way of making little over payments to the mortgage. Even if larger over payments can't be done as yet, it's just keeping that over payment momentum going isn't it? Need to plan my budget for the next few months so will be looking to see if I can do likewise!

Yes, it just keeps the motiviation up to be honest HSL. Chipping away at it definitely helps me feel like I'm achieving something and I love seeing the number come down online.

Just withdrawn £4.44 from Paypal after another little BIN sale on eBay. Will probably only be about £3 profit once posted, but it's £3 towards an OP. 😁
I completed another survey tonight; paid for, and ate ☺️, a lovely birthday takeaway meal (£20) and have packed for our few days away. I had quite a stressful afternoon of running around to appointments and essential errands, mostly in the pouring rain and listening to the woes and moans of some (well meaning) people but could have done without that today. Never mind, I'm now having a soak before taking myself off to bed before the long drive tomorrow.
Have a great weekend all xxMortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,706.16

Back from our visit to my parents which was quite upsetting given Mum's condition, but it was lovely to see them. DS now off on hols with his Dad for a few days. OH and I are away for a couple of days this weekend, am hoping for a bit of a relaxing break of not doing much. I'm so tired, I feel like I'm walking through treacle constantly.
Back to the finances, another £14.60 paid off the mortgage today to round the number down.
A few more surveys completed this morning, think I'm almost up to another £5 for redemption. Still awaiting the £20 paypal funds from survey rewards from last Friday, apparently it can take 5-10 working days to appear.
I ordered a few things online for my parents whilst I was with them, for which they have given me the cash, so I need to pay that into the bank later today.
I picked up a couple of Christmas presents from a quick nip to the shops whilst I was away and one other that I ordered with a promotional code was delivered today.
Planning an afternoon of catching up with the housework and YNAB. I need to get myself organised a bit, I feel like everything's in turmoil at the moment. The house is messy and so is my mind!Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,706.16
