Just completed lots more surveys and redeemed another £5 amazon voucher. Annoyingly, I'm only 10 points or one question away from another on the other site I use, but there's no sign of any surveys from them...

I didn't know it was possible to make smaller overpayments on a mortgage...will have to try that as any bigger chunks look impossible for me at the moment.

I can with mine HSL, so it's certainly worth checking with your provider. Mine is online and with the bank that my main bank account is with, so I can just transfer a bit over when I have some spare. It definitely makes it easy that way.

£120 sent to the savings, so that account now stands at £1530.
£1000 of that is earmarked for building work though and I'm conscious I have the car insurance due next month and also need to get some other remedial work done in the house asap, so I need to save every penny I can presently.

My car's first MOT is on Saturday, I'm praying it sails through and nothing needs doing.

The oven is a write off. :(
It's basically not worth fixing and we're still without an oven which has been difficult. I've had to give in and order a new one which should be delivered and fitted on Saturday. My parents have very kindly paid for the new one, despite protests from me. I feel so bad, even though I know they have the money spare, but it still makes me feel >>> :( that I should be able to afford these things and manage by myself. I am so very grateful to them though and it has taken an enormous amount of financial worry off my shoulders as it would have had to go on the credit card and it was a lot of money.
There was a £150 cashback offer on the oven, which I can claim after 30 days. I told my parents the price after the cashback without mentioning the CB deal, so there is £150 on the credit card presently that will be paid off once I get the CB, the rest has been paid off already.

I've just paid my outstanding tax from the business - £78.20 - so that is sorted for another year.

I have around £100 left for the Christmas present budget so I need to keep within that. It should be doable as I have bought most of it now but still have a few people to buy for and lots of little bits to get.

Still haven't had the latest £5 survey voucher, am hoping it turns up soon as there's a few presents I'd like to buy from Amazon and £5 will help to reduce it down nicely.

Talking of surveys, I have a few more to do today too.

It's a lovely idea Hidden, thank you. Only problem is they live a 3 hour drive away so we'll have to wait until we see them again. :(

£5 voucher received last night and redeemed on a Chirtsmas gift waiting in my Amazon basket, so only had to pay out £2.85. :D

I've managed to get the 5 more points I've been waiting for all week on the other survey account and have just received another £5 Amazon voucher as a result. Funny how one site can pay out within an hour and the other takes days.

YNAB has been updated and the bank account has been checked this morning.

Hopefully I've managed to get rid off the old cooker for free instead of paying £25 for it to be removed and disposed of too.

Not much else to report, it's that middling bit of the month between paydays when everything is ticking over. The child benefit and tax credits have been paid into the account so there's no more money to come in, other than business sales, but I'm not counting that as I'm putting it straight into savings.

£100 transferred to the savings and £14.80 sent to the mortgage this morning.

    New totals:
    Savings:
    £1630/£2000
    Mortgage £78,774.35

Old cooker is being picked up this afternoon, new one arriving tomorrow. :j

Spent a bit of money last night, bought OH a meal to cheer him up as he's a bit down atm. Came to the grand sum of £13.80 with drinks (trusty w*therspoons!:D).
We popped into Aldi on the way home and they had their slow gin mince pies, so we had to buy a couple of boxes of those. They were worth it. ;)

I placed an online grocery shop yesterday for delivery today. I was planning on going shopping myself, but we needed to stock up on a lot of heavy things so I opted for the delivery. That's coming late tonight (cheapest delivery prices ;)).

YNAB all updated and jiggled a bit this morning. There's not much money left, but there's enough if I'm careful.
I've brought breakfast and lunch into work and taken a chicken out of the freezer this morning to defrost for tonight or Saturday. I've also taken out some bagels, just need to take out the YS smoked salmon I have in the freezer too and then OH and I will be having a lovely breakfast tomorrow as Mr T is delivering cream cheese (half price, on offer!) too, yum.
