The energy refund has hit the bank account, as has money from some more sales, so I've been able to transfer £225.14 to the savings this morning, taking it up to £1111. :j That's the bathroom work covered again now (£975) and £136 towards the insurances and everything else so far. I should hopefully be able to continue to build it up quickly and have enough to pay for everything by the time it's needed without having to rely on a credit card, mostly thanks to my wonderful parents and their previous kind offer.
So, it's a drizzly Monday morning =, but it's payday in two days =
. Lunch for OH and I today is yesterday's leftovers; dinner for DS and I will be something from the freezer/cupboard and I shouldn't need to spend anything today, other than maybe the fee for DS's swimming lessons which I've already set aside within the budget.
I didn't get round to taking the paint back yesterday, will do it one evening this week. I need to walk up the corner shop with DS after school and take the parcel back that I didn't do yesterday, other than that I think it's a stay indoors kind of afternoon/evening.
Happy Monday all

A £3.41 payout from Quidco is on the way to the bank account. I don't use them anymore after they have failed to chase up claims and everything was being declined despite being legitimate purchases, so I've switched to TCB.
Have converted some nectar points to ebay vouchers to use towards a Christmas gift for OH as have found the item £50 cheaper from an outlet on thereMortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £52,091.86

Just purchased the gift for OH, last one left and £50 cheaper than I have previously seen it anywhere else. :T Had to transfer some money from the savings to cover it though, so savings now at £1073.26. I'll soon boost that back up againMortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £52,091.86

Parcel returned, aother survey completed and DS picked up from school! Just coking DSs food and have thrown a coupe of jacket potatoes in the oven whilst it's on too. I'll have one tonight and there's one for IH if he comes round. If not, I'll have it tomorrow.
DS has come home with a request for £3 for an event at school tomorrow - coins from purse now in an envelope ready - and his school photograph proof - I can't believe the prices they try and charge for these. :O
I'll be buying the copyright free image for a mere £15 :O and getting them printed somewhere else. At least then I can print some for the family for Christmas gifts.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £52,091.86

Well, shortly after the last post it all went to s**t.
I couldn't turn my gas oven off, nothing would work. To cut a long (stressful) story short, I eventually manged to get someone out to make it safe. I think it's completely had it now. Trouble is, it's a range cooker so a replacement is going to cost me around £700.:( I don't have it spare, the only option is putting it back on the credit card and getting back into debt.
I phoned my Dad for advice and they are now saying they will help me with a new one, but I just feel utterly rubbish at not being able to do things myself.
Then OH, who is going through a really difficult time atm, broke down on me over the phone whilst driving. I'm so worried about him atm, he really does deserve a lucky break. Why do bad things always happen to good people? He is one of the nicest people you could meet.
My eczema is horrendous presently too, it's all falred up this past week. My hands are cracking and bleeding constantly and it's really painful.
Honestly, I just don't know what problem to deal with first at the moment.
So, I'm a bit down on the world today.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £52,091.86

Hug to you lovely, you really are going through the mill at the moment.
Fingers crossed that you get a change in luck, you certainly deserve it xxx0 -
Oh so sorry MeandO. Have you got an effective cream that you can use to relieve the dry hands?
Re the cooker - we have something nearby that allows people to recycle their unwanted appliances, which are then reconditioned or serviced as necessary and then sold to the general public. The prices are lower than new and you get the benefit of knowing they have been checked over. Don't know if you have such a scheme near you. The one locally is called Resource. Freecycle might be worth a try? Do you need a range cooker? Would a traditional 4 ring hob/ oven be a better option for now?
Hope tomorrow looks up for you.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

Emerging from Lurkdom to send you (((hugs))) and hoping that things start to improve quickly for you and OH.
Don't feel bad about accepting help from parents (or anyone else for that matter) Everyone needs help at times, and when things are improved for you in the future you can 'pay it forward' by helping someone else. Life is a series of ups and downs so try to keep your positive head on and hopefully the 'ups' are wending their way to you. XXI Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.
happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy0
