My son got chickenpox 2 days before due to fly. Ryanair's policy prevents flying with chickenpox.
Phoned customer service and was told I should be able to get a refund.
However on applying online I received a letter saying flights are non-refundable.
Should I try to fight this, as it was not my decision not to fly?

Refunds are at Ryanair's discretion so if they refuse there's nothing you can do about it.
  • Thanks for the replies, I do have insurance so will try claiming through that. Though that is also another story. When I had to cancel my first holiday, I then re-booked and took out a new insurance with Tesco. They thought they had accidentally took two payments for the same holiday so cancelled the first policy. After a few e-mails and calls they have said they will re-instate the first policy, so i should be able to claim.
    Thanks again.
