Well I'm awake and raring to go, as I have a few hours in my busy week to get stuff done, so I thought I'd come on here and lay down my plans to keep me on the straight and narrow whilst I have a :coffee:

    I will:
Chop tiffin in squares and put back in freezer - done
Load of washing done overnight on line, another in machine which will go out later
Small list for sm, will go later, double check meal plan before I go
Add calories for day to tracker
    Check surveys, FPL
    Couple of banking tasks
Wrap 3 presents and write 3 cards all from stash/Pre bought
    Clean bathroom
    Vacuum through downstairs
Take Snacks for theatre later with us. Tickets all booked and paid for ages ago.
Post fleabay items, will walk down
Put two items to be returned in car so I can possibly do tomorrow when in another town for work
Plant out some more potatoes and check on rest and try and identify them

Right, must get on. Enjoy the sunshine everyone :D
  • Morning perps :) sorry to hear that some peeps on here made you cross! Gosh reading your post brings me back to my job and seeing the people who are being affected so badly by the cuts is so soul destroying at times. Everything is a battle. This week I managed to find a flat for one of my clients who is facing eviction (landlord wants to sell up), she has a dog but her husband died suddenly last year and giving up the dog in her fragile state is a step too far. I persuaded her father to act as a guarantor , persuaded the LL's agent to get them to accept the dog. persuaded them to drop the rent to a rate that the top up will be manageable on benefits. The Local Authority have come back and said they won't pay out the rent in advance & deposit because the rent is too high. It's the lowest you can get in the area....

Anyway I've got a few days to nurture my soul until I need to face that frontline again!

    Things for today:

    * hang out washing & do another wash
    * go to the lottie in a bit for a couple of hours
    * pot on a few things toms, aubergines, peppers - need to pot on toms but need some more canes so will have to get them today
    * get sliced lamb out of the freezer. Will make a stir fry I think & I'll have it without meet
    * speak to my friend about picking up my iron I left at the festival. Who knew we needed one so much?! In my mind I thought I never ironed!
    * need to spend some time on the garden. Oh upset yesterday as he thinks I'm only there for the allotment (which is true :o) better show willing!
    * bags & lunches ready for tomorrow
    * have an election training session at 12.30

    Ok that's all I think....

    Happy days lovelies :A

I was up late last night(DD not very well) so was hoping for abit of a lie in, everyone back in bed, me up before 7am.
Must get some much needed housework done, and finish some paperwork.
Hoping to get some washing on the line, but weather hasn't made its mind up yet quite what it is going to do.
12 days and IVA is finished, can't wait, but feel like I'm wishing my life away.
This thread has really helped me with those final frustrating few months where u feel so close but so far. I feel like I've spent so much more wisely and by putting it all down, makes me feel accountable to you guys, which is great. I do wish I had joined the thread earlier
Right off to do the cat cleaning......some things never change!
    Have a great day everyone

    Morning all :coffee:
So I'm pleased to report a better night of sleep and a clear head this morning. However, I also have the addition of a sore throat and a snotty nose - appears to be the same stuff that ds has.
I've already done a load of exam work so I'm pleased to have that out of the way. I'm arguing with myself as to whether or not to have a pyjama day - ds wants me to take him out to buy batteries for a camera he found yesterday and I want to stay in all day and relax.
I have 2 loads of washing I still need to do and a load of books I brought home that need marking. But I really want to crochet all day. The boys will be watching a day filled with football (if dh actually gets out of bed today).
Think my plan of action is just to relax and see how today pans out.

    Good Morning!

Thank you determined and PurpleFairy for the hummus recipes, I'll definitely check them out and give it a go :)
HappyKitties, does this mean you'll be debt free then in 12 days? How brilliant! :j

Looks like the weather is on the up and sunshine is predicted for the rest of this week! Yay! :T Lets hope thats true.

Went to bed mega early last night has had a headache and was feeling so tired. But sods law when i was bed I couldn't drop off. I have a terrible time with sleep and I take Benadryl to help me sleep.... I know that's not good at all but I'd be a walking zombie if I didn't take anything.

Sunday plans are looking like this so far:

    - Get one load of washing in the machine and then hang outside
    - Need to pop to Tesco's and pick up Maths sets for Twins which are on at half price and they need them for their exams this week
    - Need to get my nails done. I was trying to string it out and not go for another week but they've chipped badly and I need to get the acrylic removed for good. Going back to Shellac which I can do a home if needs be and will save a good amount of money
    - Tackle the dreaded Sunday ironing :(
    - Pick up some chicken from the butchers to make Butter chicken tonight
    - Ive got items on eBay that will be ending today so I'll get them ready to be posted off
    - Need to find more items to list
    - Get onto Swags and do some more surveys...getting there slowly
    - Go for an evening walk around the park before dinner with DH (I really want to get a FitBit for step count so I'm saving up for that)

    Have a fab day everyone!

Lol DNMS, thinking of you leaving your iron at a festival. Must have been posher than the ones I have been/ go to, the toilets are always more of a worry than whether my clothes are crease free :rotfl:

    Plans for today:
Boot sale, try not to buy too much carp! Only spent just over £10 :A OH has bagged one item, the rest, such as they are, will be added to sales stock
Clean kitchen window that I didn't do yesterday Done :T
Maybe do lounge one as well (both sides, as it is an interior window, strange house layout, keep wondering whether to go to the bother and expense of changing it) Not done yet
Make a loaf in the BM Done
Pack a few ebay parcels ready for posting tomorrow Still need to do this!
Cook a small pork joint from the freezer for dinner Done, did roast potatoes, frozen carrots and the last of last year's HG French beans and gravy to go with it :D
Bit of housework Hmm not much, bit of tidying maybe :o
Anything that needs doing in the garden Watered some pots that are sheltered by the front of the house, which miraculously didn't get any water from yesterday's downpours :(
Fill bird feeder Done, no more sparrow complaints :rotfl:
Deal with 2 shrivelled apples in the fruit bowl Done, peeled, sliced, cooked and froze :)
    Check banks Still to do
    Dog walk Done
Picked, washed, chopped and froze 2 bags of rhubarb :)
Started a shopping list for early next week

If I manage all that I will be happy :)

    Hi May Marvellousos,

It's my day off. :heartpuls And it's raining hard, again....
d!jà vu... (why is it treating that phrase as a swearword?!)

Debt Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Three:

    * Checked the Broadband allowance.

    * Listed reward stamps from RMSurveys on eBay. Should fetch £15+.

    * Sort out RMSurveys for next week.

    * Going on an odyssey in a minute. Take bus one way to oudoor pool. Swim in the rain (love that.) Walk home. Tried this last week but my ankle wouldn't let me complete the mission. If at first you don't succeed...

    Onwards and upwards.

    Morning all!

I foolishly fell asleep with the 'sitting up in bed' cushions at the bottom of the bed and subconsciously avoided kicking them off all night thinking they were cats so I've slept in an odd position and woken up with backache :(

HappyKitties, sunglasses on, that light at the end of the tunnel is excitingly close!

As yesterday was spent indoors today is going through be all about the front garden (first foray this year!) The bin men didn't empty my garden refuse bin so I will just sweep all the rubbish into a corner and complain on Monday.

The heavy rain has weighted down lots of branches so there's lots of ducking to get in and out at the moment so I'm going to cut some of it back. I hate doing it because the rambling roses are just beginning to flower so maybe I can just clear a pathway.

I'm going to dig over the central bed where we pulled out a really ugly willow last year. I have manure to dig in and then I'm going to bring two hydrangeas that have overgrown their pots from the back garden to plant there.

The WM and TD will be doing their stuff in the background and I'm planing t shake/fold/hang immediately so I don't have to iron.

I need to check what the teens are up to so I can decide whether to roast the lamb for lunch or dinner, probably dinner. A freezer hunt threw up a bag of carrots and parsnips I've previously boiled and coated in honey and mustard so that has saved me both time and money.

As I'm not out with my mum tonight I'll b able to make the YS run, apparently Sunday's are really good so we shall see.

Have a lovely day everyone :)

My Hoover started working again which is a relief, I think it may just have cut out because it was too full.

    Common reasons would be:

    *Motor over-heating after being over-used.
*Motor over-heating because the bag is full.
    *Blockage in a hose.
*Small break in the wiring somewhere.
    *Dirty filters.
    *Fault with household wiring.

Take it apart as far as you are comfortable and clean every component.

Also visually inspect the socket you plugged it into. Look for charring. If it looks ok plug something inexpensive into the electrical socket you used to test the socket.

Somebody on here recently said they had a great hummus recipe - please may I have it? I can't remember who it was who posted it :(

PurpleFairy reported making some a couple of weeks ago.

And Foxgloves and DawnW reported eating some. :rotfl:
