Should extra marital affairs be classified as a crime?

If a husband and wife both cheat on each other, would it cancel each other out, so they wouldn't need to be punished? Or would they get double-punished?
And what if a person was deeply in to S&M and really got off on the punishment, wouldn't it just encourage them to cheat?0 -
no, for a huge number of reasons, both legal and moral.0

How would it work if a husband and wife had a threesome with someone else? Who gets punished (as above, in an S&M situation, maybe everyone wins :rotfl:)?
Is the mistress/mister (er. is there a male equivalent of mistress
) guilty too? Or as they aren't married, are they technically not breaking the law? Do you not know that a man is not dead while his name is still spoken?

Those punishments would only be for the women though, because we all know that she will have used her evil charms to lead the poor man astray.
Sounds like a certain culture we know :rotfl:0 -

I believe it's master - mistress and master0 -
When it comes to new legislation you should also consider how it would be enforced. You could never enforce this proposal - what evidence would be required, what testimony could stand up in court (jilted wife/husband, the scorned 3rd person), and, for example, would there then be a place for Judge or legal counsel, members of a jury etc if they were divorced or so tarnished with such an accusation?
All in all, you take the vows seriously or you don't.0 -
In language sure, but I've never heard "master" used as the term for a man a married woman is sleeping with (who isn't her husband). Or does my post read as if I'm still wondering about the S&M thing? :rotfl:I believe it's master - mistress and masterDo you not know that a man is not dead while his name is still spoken?

Really ?? I don't think so.0 -
Families wouldn't necessarily be happier and, in fact, may even be more miserable.DarkShadow wrote: »I have been thinking of this, if it's punishable by law, then people won't do it. It will result in happy families.
A loveless/forced marriage is not a good example to set any children in the family.
Affairs aren't the way to go, but it often takes that for one to leave the other.2024 wins: *must start comping again!*0 -
Its love and loyalty that keeps people happy and faithful, not fear of punishment.
