So in all could be betterCould be worse though

Never mind 'could be better', you've been amazing. You've achieved all of this with virtually no income, entirely independently with no back up from anyone. It includes sorting arrears that aren't yours, A HOLIDAY, nailing down an ever changing debt to a now fixed amount, not to mention all the not-strictly-financial challenges that you've dealt with.
I'm going to shout at you now, just to make sure you hear me.
YOU ARE AMAZING!!

Morning, Hidden. How are you today? Are the wee ones still with your mother? You haven't mentioned them for a few days. You know, if we can help in any way and it's within our power to do so you just have to ask.
Lots of hugs. Take care of yourself,Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
Just popping in to wish you a good day.
And as helsbell says, you are doing more than "could do better"
Focus on you and the children. That's important.
The negative devil is shouting loudly in your ear and is drowning out your considerable achievements. Don't let it take over.
I know you find your household routines a comfort. So try to incorporate them back into your life so you start feeling more secure. How about a worry half hour - a defined time when you allow your mind to worry. At other times just think, no I will think about it at worry time and not now. I haven't explained it very well but it can work.
Look after yourselves, Take care, post if you can

Hope things are trotting along slightly more calmly now Hidden.
In regard to "the issues" I think you're right about needing to accept that there is nothing you can do to change things. I also think that if you can just step back, that may be the best way forwards for you - all you can do is make clear to both parties involved that you want nothing to do with it, and that this is not "taking sides" as you are saying exactly the same thing to both of them! From then on it's really up to them to decide what they think - but honestly, if they don't trust you when you say that, are they really people you want in yours and the smalls lives? I know, easier said than done, but something to think on perhaps.
I agree with those that said you're amazing - I'd be inclined to say that in terms of inspirational you're up there with the "forum greats" of Hypno and our lovely sadly missed Taxi. :T🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Just caught up with your diary, I'm so sorry you are having such a difficult time. I couldn't agree more with EH about wanting certain people in your lives. There are a few people that I feel I need to stay close to because of my small but I'm not going to go out of my way to do so, it works on both sides and nobody should be expecting you to 'take sides'. The most important thing in all of this is that you and smalls are happy and taken care of, I am glad you have been able to take a little time to yourself.
Lastly, don't worry about posting things here, post whatever you are comfortable with. I know I go on about all things that aren't necessarily anything to do with my finances but everything we do in our lives affects this area and so helps us evaluate further. Take care of yourself.Change the way you see things and the things you see will change0 -
Just catching up HI, hope everything's ok. Please look after yourself and the kiddies. Everyone else comes after.
Hoping things settle down for you soon xx"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0
