    TV license halfs in a few weeks, will log in and check when later, didn't even think of that! thank you. I think I will look for broadband before the end of summer, DS is less than happy about the idea of nothing to watch :o

    you're doing great. Re the tv thing have you thought about getting a freesat box as you mentioned you didnt have an ariel. my mum was paying loads to sky so i got her to cancel the tv bit and she now just has a basic broadband & phone line. It costs £80 upfront but then there's no extra fees.

    hidden, are you going to CAB about benefits?

    If you are I can help with entitlement as its what I do in my day job.

    You need to claim Income Support via DWP and Housing and Council Tax Benefit from your local council - some councils have a form online which makes things easier.

    Don't delay in making claims otherwise you could lose money you are entitled to.

    Ditto what EE has said about claiming benefits, also your children should be entitled to free school lunches, also have you checked out whether you can claim for a school uniform grant, a lot of people don't know about this and if your entitled you should claim.
