110 landcover, every panel dented, no screen wash as kids broke nozzles off clambering all over it (replaced with pipes on wipers) 150K mileage only gets jet washed prior to MOT, original mud (no decals needed)Debt is a symptom, solve the problem.0

That will definitely be done tonight. Will love to see what nonsense you come out with next when I prove you wrong. You idiot
Once you've found someone who owns an Accord and has left it unlocked, presumably?
Don't forget the odometer and today's paper. If it's easier for you I'm in London this afternoon in my office near St Paul's... Only a short walk to New Street Sq - that's not the Deloitte office you work out of is it? I could come and meet you for a coffee.
I imagine you'll be in another office though, or conveniently with a client so that's probably not an option.0 -
My car is nearly 9 years old, bought it outright for cash last year. I'd rather have money in the bank at the end of the month than having everything new and on credit, with nothing left of my pay packet at the end of the month.
Also my cars always end up damaged from the local scrotes and folk who don't know have to drive/park. Not something you want to happen to a new car when it can cost £000s to repair.0 -

Wow - £100,000,000 plus? Sunday times rich list levels.
Looks like the reverse snobbery phenomenon, trying to appear less rich. I'm like that.“What means that trump?” Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare0 -

It's like when Audi drivers drive around in bright sunlight with their very bright badly installed HID headlights bouncing around, but then it gets dusk they turn them off.0 -
I drive a 13 year old Seat Leon Cupra diesel, it's actually the most expensive car I've ever owned and I paid £1900 for it 2 years ago. I love it and I hope to get a few more years trouble free motoring from it. It's economical, nice to drive, fairly quick and I think it looks nice too.
It's my newest vehicle as my bikes are 25 and 43 so my car is practically new in comparison! The idea of having a new car and getting myself in debt terrifies me so I'll be sticking to old cars that I can afford but I'm getting worried that I won't be able to work on my next car myself as we move towards DPF's etc.0 -
I had a few new cars when I was living in Germany, mainly because they were tax free and I was able to sell them on after 6 months but the last new car I bought, I still have 11 years later and it's on 95K.
I also have a 13 year old Jeep on 127K and do most of my own maintenance on both.
I did also have a string of proper bangers, including a Peugoet 306 which resembled a Baghdad taxi but they all did the job. In fact I especially loved the taxi because not only could I park it anywhere without bothering about people denting it, I actually used to look for the nicest cars to park next to :rotfl:What's wrong with asking for annual income? I earn 50k a year and I do own a car, fully paid for thank you very much.
Why were you trying to save pennies on an insurance scam then?0 -

Could be they just don't care about cars.
There's allegedly a well off woman out here who loved Rover 820's, so when they stopped making them she bought 10, garaged them, and when she runs one into the ground she scraps it and rolls the next one out.
Back on topic a bit; I tend to buy unpopular cars at about 3-4 years old and run them into the ground. Outgoing models, big engines, bust manufacturers etc. I think I've had 1 current gen car in 15 years of motoring.0 -

Indeed - was in the high 80m when I came across him, but 100+ now.0
