Atos assessment for PIP, I know they are gonna trick me but how?

If you can attend the centre, you should ask for it to be recorded (getting home visits recorded is considerably more complicated).
Not all assessors are willing 'to go on the record' and have them being audio recorded.
PIP does not confer the right as for ESA for the assessing company to provide the equipment.0 -
Op I would take what rockingbilly says with a pinch of salt as he Suffers with dementia and all other sorts of illnesses, but more to the point is a serial failure when it comes to form filling and attending assessments.0

And Rockingbully has also never had a PIP face to face asssessment0 -

If what I have said is wrong in any way please do me a big favour and correct it for the OP?
As for being a serial failure, I doubt it. I have claimed many benefits since 1996 all of which are still in payment except ESA (Support Group) which ceased on my 65th birthday in 2013.
I reckon that you will not rectify what I have said as the sole purpose of your posts about me are personal. You simply don't like me.0 -

Not for PIP and you know the reason for that which was not of my doing!
However over the past 21 years I have had approx. 12 F2F assessments all of which resulted in substantial awards being made. Awards for life/indefinite were given for two of the benefit claims and the third for the maximum allowed of 3 years (ESA) - twice.0 -
It's not a question whether I like you or not it's a case that you have been advised by various senior members on this site that you don't give advise to people due to your mental state i.e. Dementia, battling alcoholism and everything else you claim to have.0
-
This is not true. You made claims for PIP and AA and previously claimed DLA. None of these are currently being paid to you.
Again, not true. You had a F2F for AA which resulted in no award being made.
Your posts are inconsistent (people can decide for themselves if that's due to dementia or something else). That's why you shouldn't be giving advice.
DLA was paid until they refused me PIP
AA was refused as you know and why.
Over the years I have had successful F2F assessments - at least 12 of them. In addition I failed PIP and AA - not bad 12 out of 14!
That post was not giving advice, it was stating the historical position of my benefit claims.
Obviously you want to find something to pick holes in - so carry on.
Finally you have no right to tell me that I cannot post on this site. Besides which the many posts that I do get are clearly personal in nature and accuse me of being someone else. Not too sure who really has a mental health condition.0 -
And no DLA reassessment since 2001

So not sure how up to date your knowledge/experience really is0 -

I'm curious to know what your constituents think about you working 40+ hours a week as a Local Councillor, whilst still claiming benefits? (especially in the ESA Support Group,) and also how the permitted work criteria fits with working 40 hours a week as a Councillor?
I know it's not a "salaried" job, but Councillors are reimbursed for up to £20,000 a year or more, it's reported.
Sorry for derailing a thread, but it's already been derailed?Fred - Where's your get up and go?
Barney - It just got up and went.

On the topic of attending an ATOS (or other) PiP assessment. ....
I also have quite severe metal health issues (along with physical issues). Early this year I received the papers for transfer from DLA to PiP.
Two points that might help people looking at this thread for help...
You can ask for a Home Assessment. Going to an Assessment Centre was never going to happen with me! I suffer really bad anxiety - and if I get stressed I get a really foul mouth on me. (Not nice for other people who don't realise that the bile I am shouting is not directed at anyone in particular, it is a type of vocal tic similar to Tourettes)...I also tend to get into a panic-mode and will attempt to run off from my carer (Mum) and put myself at risk....When I was sent the letter with a date for a face-to-face in a Centre I was shaking!.....My Carer/Mum phoned and asked for a home visit. Initially it was refused, but she phoned again and explained clearly and calmly the effect that the journey would make on me - and they accepted this and I am now waiting for the date of a Home Visit......So, if a Home Visit makes the face-to-face a possibility where an Assessment Centre is impossible, just ask! They might need to be given a clear indication of your reasons, but there is a chance you will be seen in a place where you feel safe and better able to manage your mental health.
Also, remember that you do not have to go through this alone. You can have a friend/relative/carer with you at all times. (In fact I recommend that you do!)...Firstly because they can help you with your coping strategies....and secondly, if it comes to the worst and you need to appeal then you have someone who was with you and can hep you build your appeal case.0
