DD issue?

in Credit cards
Interest free period ends in 3 May this year. In March, I amended direct debit to pay in full (rest of amount). In April, the full amount is taken, which is fine. From middle of April until now, I spent on the card (£500ish is the current balance).
The amount to be paid in June is £5 to be taken by direct debit.
Why is my direct debit taking the minimum', despite changing the DD to 'full amount' a few months ago?

Card is with HBOS.
No pdf statement yet for May on online banking.
On the screen it just says £5 due on 3 June.0 -
Check again once the statement has been produced.
It may be that £5 is default minimum payment.0 -
You need to see the statement. It is likely that £5 is the minimum but full statement will say something like "£500 will be taken by direct debit on........"
A promotional rate ending shouldn't change your choice regarding DD options.
I've been slightly irritated lately by statements not appearing for a few days after the published date. I'm also of the impression they are putting through payments made closer to or on the date, as a result. I've stopped spending on some cards for 2-3 days before the statement date.0 -

I've looked at the pdf statement and it mentions:
Your Direct Debit payment of £550.15 will be collected from your current account on xx/06/17.
Also mentions, minimum payment of £5 to be collected on xx/06/17.
Looks like my direct debit amendment that I've done last 1-2 months (changed it to pay in full from minimum payment) hasn't altered, which is good.
On my OLB, it says: £5 Outstanding minimum payment due (inc. any
missed payments) by 01 June 2017. I thought if the DD is set to pay in full, that 'full amount' would be displayed instead of £5?
The full amount to be taken in June is £550.15 by the way.0 -

That's about right. You sure it says:-
"minimum payment of £5 to be collected on xx/06/17"
That's clumsy wording if it does. I'd expect something like paid rather than collected.
The minimum and DD are two different things. The OLB is still right. As long as you pay a fiver, on time, by any means, the credit card company wont mind, even if you cancel the DD. They'll then charge you interest on the balance though.0 -
On all of my CC statements it tells me the minimum amount to be paid £----, by date
, and, on the same page tells me the full amount will be collected on the same date.I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.0 -
It will say the amount to be collected by DD on your PDF statement.
Should say minimum payment of £x due by x date, rather than to be collected by DD.
It should also tell you payments received 2 working days before DD due will reduce the DD amount taken.
OLB will always give you the minimum due by the due date as a reminder.

I never mess with DDs at the end of a promotional rate period. I ascertain the provider's policy on manual payments affecting (min payment) DDs and adjust my manual payment to suit.0 -
I think I understand the confusion here.
Setting up a full balance direct debit does not suddenly turn your credit card into a charge card. You retain the option to make only the minimum payment if you so wish.
You are therefore being informed of what the minimum payment is.
As others have said, separately the statement should state that £X will be debited to your account on a specific date. So long as the amount stated is the full balance, then no problem.0
