Morning all
Funny feeling has gone now, hopefully that's it!
Two loads of washing on the line, better day today - we've got some sunshine.
Roast dinner in oven.
DH watching Grand Prix taped earlier.... but he's got the car out ready to wash it today. Been promising that for about 4 weeks now.0 -
It is a great feeling lil_me but I suspect there are several male helpers who were looking forward to building it for us! lol They are going to be disappointed!
Sounds like your move is going to plan (even if it is mostly you doing the moving) I'd come and give you a hand if I was closer.
Glad the funny feeling has gone Pollybear I get those from time to time, no idea what causes it because sometimes the thing that caused the feeling in the first place could not have been predicted but as soon as it happens the funny feeling goesbut I do trust it totally even though it can be a bit unnerving at times.
I taped the grand prix and will not get chance to watch it before tonight so PLEASE DON'T tell me the result!
Right, shopping away, coffee drunk, need to borrow the phone extension from here so we can go and sort Aunt's BB.

morning all
11 hours sleep last night and i still only feel vaguely human,
DH got up early with charlie again, and he said he didn't mind as he got to watch all of the grand prix.
managed to do a load of washing, and we have been to the morrisons and got a bit of shopping - for those of you with tiddlers, boxes of pampers were 1/3 off - 7.66 instead of around 11, so we got a couple of boxes. Somehow as well, a wispa fell into the trolley for each of us.
Plan for the rest of the day is to perhaps do some more washing while the weather is nice enough to get on the line, and we are going to my nephews birthday tea party this evening. I feel ready for bed again now but will have to see what i can force myself to do.
A healthy lunch of jackets with beans and bacon is in for all of us. so will eat that at 12 ish with charlie and then get on.
Shirley, it could be a fuse somewhere with your hoover - our dyson was given to us by my parents after it did that with them, and we swapped filters and the fuse, and it was fine.
See you all later

Started on boys room, before lunch as I was upstairs anyway, overwhleming just how much there is to sort through
they aren't being helpful at all, to be honest they're being a pain trying to keep everything. Have come down for a break and some lunch, got some beef out for dinner aswell so that's a quicker easier tea for me and DP when he eventually gets back. Crack back on with it after lunch armed with bin bags!!!!
Just phoned my friend, she's getting pains, still 20 minutes apart but definately something happeningall excited. I've bought her loads of stuff for the baby which I also need to find at some point today.
Right, going to make/eat lunch, soup here I think as I also found lots of it yesterday :rotfl:pass that weather this was Pollybear, no sunshine here so laundry will have to go on airers.
Michelle, pleased to hear you're feeling a little more human at last
AnW'sMum thank youmy friend keeps saying she wants to help but her being pregnant she ends up trying to do too much and I get cross with her. I think I am the type who is better off doing it alone from what I've been like so far, when the kids end up putting something in the wrong box I can feel myself getting cross. I know DP would mix things up and just throw stuff in which would wind me up.
For some reason my youngest dog keeps whimpering, he's been out, got food and everything, now he's just being annoying. Wonder if he's just sensing something going on.One day I might be more organised...........

I expect your dog can sense something happening, probably worried you'll leave him behind!
I am a bit too controlling about sorting things out. I moan that nobody helps me, but really nobody does it "right". Maybe you can do the sorting and packing and your OH can do the carrying of the heavy boxes etc.
Washing drying well, it's not bright sunshine here now but the air still feels mild and there is a little breeze.
We've had dinner and washed up. Waiting for rhubarb crumble to cool a bit before we have that. Don't want burnt tongues0 -
Hi all
Well I have had a quick flick back through the pages and pages I missed. So hugs to all that need them (which seemed to be a few people this week), well done lil_me on being so organised. Pigpen appears to have turned into Mrs Beaton (do you wear a pinny??), although I dont know what the original Mrs Beaton would have made of those finger nails:D , no good for making pastry:rotfl: .
I have been flapping around getting bits and bobs done but nothing major. I dont know if it was DH being home with man flu for 3 days or me getting over my dose of the fluey thing but life felt like a real hard slog! Maybe its the middle of the night visits from DD2.
Thursday I was very good, girls beds got stripped because they both wet them within 20 mins of each other  . Tackled the gardens whilst it was good weather, planted some winter pansies, weeded, mowed and prunned.
Am now at work but will be leaving a bit early to do a viewing on the way home. Made a sponge this morning but does not look upto usual standard, will hear the verdicts later when I fill it with jam and cream.
I have found a load of stuff to list on ebay, the garage is stuffed with loads of cardboard boxes for shipping stuff in so I really, really need to get my act together and shift the blooming stuff.
Talking of chocolate Somerfield have got the big tins of roses and quality street for a £5! bargain. Unfortunately the one I bought to put in dads christmas hamper disappeared last week:o (not all me honest!).0 -
Hello one and all.
OH changing last pain of broken glass then I can undercoat window seals again.
Dalies done
Been to waitrose, dinner brought and lunch eaten
I want to go and re-edge the back grass once I've had a cuppa then do DS2 room
Just looked at the calendar and I have a really busy week so flying will defo be 30 minute slots for me after Monday.
AnW'smum well done you, what a great example you are setting for A and W xThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Found out why he's whimpering, next door has family over and they have brought their dogs, little yappy things which like sneaking through gaps under the fence into my garden to wind my dogs up, he could obviously hear them before I did.
Pollybear I think you are right, I'm also one of those types who end up shouting 'just leave it I'll do it myself' because someone doesn't do it right, so probably best left to it and to moan, same as I am with the housework, I do everything because noone else does it 'right'. DP will be getting the job of putting the boxes I fill in the car because he's took my car, so he can do it in the morning before we go over there. He'll probably do that wrong aswell :rotfl:
Right, cuppa to finish then back to the rooms of hell (boys rooms) I will do an hour, ish, then come back for another break I think. One day I might be more organised...........
