:rotfl: LJD1 my partner moans about me in Ikea but he is worse, he spent a fortune last time we went, amongst other things £99 on a TV cabinet (I had one on order for £30 elsewhere which I had to cancel) and £3 on biscuits because they looked 'nice' well they were awful and only DS2 ate them :rotfl:

Packed a few bits and pieces but not much, just have ongoing boxes in each room, dropping things in as I go past which is what I have been doing most days. A major mission is sorting through wires/cables. We have a MASSIVE box full of cables, they are all for something but I have no idea what. I think I might just wrap them all up seperate (all knotted together at the mo) then put them in a box for DP to sort through.

Have warned my boys (one of which is still up of course, the bad sleeper) that they will be helping tomorrow. I've told them if they don't help we will just have to leave what they don't pack :D how evil of me, I will get help with this even if it means being mean!!! DP is out from 9am until whenever he gets back from York I think he's off to and taking my car so may aswell pack to take over on Monday as if I wanted to take it in his he said I'd have to empty it first, he's got no chance.
One day I might be more organised...........

Evening all, thanks to those for the hugs re my dog

Been back to vet today who is pleased he's improved, said today if he was no better he was going to be admitted - eek! Given me some light food to introduce, poor lad is starving, hes a huge dog (about 5 stone) and can only eat one little tin so keep giving me the evil eye.

Had a break today as IL's had DS for day as we had a huge list of things to do. Missed him like mad but have achieved so much

    Vets visit
Cleaned through all of house with DH help - much needed
    Been to Tesco
Been into town, got everything I need for party tomorrow and pressie for next week party
    Had lunch out with DH
    Ironed 2 loads of washing
    Baked brownies for party

DH is currently snoozing on sofa, got a few jobs to do tomorrow (put up decorations, hoover through, clean floor, make huge chilli) but hopefully we can have a nice day and enjoy DS's party.

See you all on next weeks thread, have a good sunday xx

Hi - hugs and waves to everyone,

I've not been around cos i have been so grotty all week. Haven't achieved a lot. Got Charlie's fancy dress costume made - which took up nearly 4 hours, and he was the only baby dressed up in something homemade. 2 other kids had bought halloween outfits on, so i can't work out if that makes me a good mum for putting the effort in, or a fool for bothering.

DH has done most of the cooking/cleaning all week. Today i have managed to wash a load of towels and do a load of washing up but DH has done everything else. I pushed charlie in the swing in the garden for about 30 mins while DH did some tidying/pruning in the garden. Then when he put the stuff in the bin, i got a whiff of some nasty odour from the bin and i was really sick.

We both took a powernap when charlie had a sleep. hope i see some improvement soon. not sure how i am keeping going at work.

i need to do some stuff tomorrow as i have brought 3 class sets of books home to mark and have my lessons to plan for next week as my interactive board has gone down, and i have a lesson observation on Wednesday.

hope the party goes smoothly tracey, and the dog is feeling better. i'll have that pleasure in a fortnight.

Anyway. i'd best go and try and sort a few bits out before bed as i am so shattered.

    Michelle, x

Oh Shirley, not good, is it fixable?

Michelle, a great Mum for bothering to put the effort in, even if you were feeling poorly you made the effort :T gets a big hands up from me. Hope you're feeling better soon.

Tracy - glad to hear your pooch is a little better.
Lil_me - good luck with the packing. You're right about men being worse. Mine is now talking of going back to ikea in the morning to pick up some more storage things.
Shirleypark - hope your vaccuum doesn't have to go to the great vaccuum place in the sky. Try turning it on in about half an hour. Ours died last time we cleaned up after an extension and there was tonnes of plaster dust. Turns out the filters were blocked so it overheated. Good luck xx

I'm just checking up on you all before I go off to the pub.

Today I have done a grand total of NOTHING!!!

I got home at 3:30am.. got up at 8am.. went round to my sisters flat and scrubbed it.. the kitchen, the oven!! (yes ME!!! in the oven!) th microwave ALL the cipboards the fridge and freezer and everything.. Then I got carried away and wiped ALL the skirtings and we left it looking beautiful and she is getting ALL [strike]my[/strike] her security deposit back!!

I got home about 1pm.. and slept until 5pm on the sofa!!!! I woke up cooked dinner.. stuffed children in bed.. and now I'm off out again until 3am as I slept so long this afternoon I am now full of beans!!!

    Anyone coming??

Oh.. does flying someone elses house count then?

Hubby ordered double glazed units for the front bay.. one down..10 to go!!

It only counts flying elsewhere if it's my house, so no, you can clean until 3am instead :p ok we know that will never happen :rotfl: enjoy your night off, I;m going to make DPs sandwiches for tomorrow, let dogs out for a wander then pop off to bed as I'm sleepy! Exciting aren't I. Night night :)

Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.
