    I thought I said no alternatives.....

Now I'm gonna feel guilty and end up having to do it....maybe not....I'll sit here for a while, have another coffee and wait and see if the guilt sets in:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Dustykitten - my ds isn't such a littlie anymore...he's 6 and if he can hurt himself he will. This morning he kneed himself in the eye doing a forward roll to get of the sofa. Luckily it wan't the eye that's already black from his operation last week but it does look like he'll now have two black eyes. DD is 8 and the complete opposite.

I've just come on to see what I have to and am going offline until it's all done.

Before I go...does anyone have any experience of MBT trainers or shoes. I know they're mega expensive but my parents are offering to get me a pair for my birthday because my back is so bad at the moment and these shoes are supposed to really help. My doctor has said they're good but I just wondered if anyone new anything else about them. I've looked at the website but they're not going to put anything negative about them on there.

    Speak soon xx

Hi Ladies and pigpen, I hope you can help me get 'on track'. I work 3 days a week - mon, weds & friday. I thought this would give me 2 days to keep the house nice but somehow they just get frittered away. I am going to try your schedule for encouragement!

As you can see I have made a start - let's hope I can keep this up. I wonder how to do the days that I work though.

Tuesday Living Room, Hall and Stairs

    Level 1
    Vacuum floors and sofas
    Level 2
    [strike]Dusting, even if [strike]around everything [/strike][strike]
Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets
[/strike]Water any thirsty plants, wipe their poor neglected leaves!!
    Level 3
[strike]Wipe light switches, sockets (make sure they are not switched on!!) and banister[/strike][strike]
Clean any other glass like mirrors, pictures etc
[/strike]Tidy shoes, coats and bags .. wash any that need washing in preparation for cold weather!! See if there are any that don't fit, past their best or just plain uncomfy which could leave the house!
Put up linings or winter curtains to keep out those draughts.
    Extra Mission:
Pick one or more of the following tasks –
    • [strike]Paperwork clearance.. spend 15 minutes minimum sorting through those piles of paper.[/strike]
    • Vacuum under furniture you can manage to move without hurting yourself
    • Clean a window or two.
    • [STRIKE]Get yourself a bag or box, go around collecting things that are not in the place they should be, then put them back where they should be, or better still give them to their owners to put away themselves[/STRIKE]
    Deep Clean Challenge
[strike]Clean light fittings[/strike], skirtings even the ones behind furniture. [strike]Clean fire-surrounds[/strike]. Wipe sofa's down. Clear as may hotspots as you can.. see if you can get it all into one pile instead of 15!!!
We must not, in trying to think about how we can make a big difference, ignore the small daily differences we can make which, over time, add up to big differences that we often cannot foresee.

dishwasher delivered but not installed:mad:   A bit of a story but I went to Curry's and got delivery and installation costs refunded and told them to ask customers questions about what connections they have. I asked them when I bought the dishwasher what I needed and that it had the waste connection and water intake because the washing machine was on the spot but they still couldn't connect the dishwasher because it was missing some vital bits. I will spare you further details:mad:

On a positive note: I have done:

under sink cupboard all clean and fresh
    kitchen floor mopped, hall mopped
living room dusted and hoovered, even under the furniture :D
washing machine finished, going to hang it on the line

    wishlist for today:

get dishwasher connected paying as little as possible
    cut grass
    ironing
    paperwork
stop DDs from killing each other and getting on my nerves (it is the October holidays here)
