Just watching 'Bringing up Baby' from last week while DS is in bed - did anyone watch it? Its making me want to punch THAT womans lights out - leaving a week old baby in the garden for 3 hours - on its own??!!! What a b*tch. Sorry I'm normally mild mannered but shes a witch.

Hi Jill, I finally managed to get the money from Zizzi on Friday! It was after I threatened legal action if they didn't get it to me by then, and it also took a call to head office by me to get it sorted. Glad everything is going well with the new baby, and your other two will get used to her sooner or later. How old are your other two? There are quite a few story books on the market aimed at children who have a new baby in the family which may help. They may have some at your local library.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170 -
Bringing up Baby...
She was on the Wright Stuff, going on about how you should let babies cry. I honestly thought, well, yes, you let them cry after you have checked them, snuggled them back down and made sure they are not hungry/warm/all the rest you instinctively check for... THEN I realised she meant Let Them Cry WITHOUT checking on them! As in put them down and ignore them for the next 4 hours!
I do agree partially that babies learn to cry for our attention, BUT, its more that they learn to fall asleep with you holding them, that I don't agree with, they need to learn to fall asleep in their bed. But to just plonk them down, walk away and thats it? No way could I do it!
She takes common sense and perverts it to extreme measures.
JillD welcome back! Glad to see its all going good for you, well done on breast feeding, I tried and failed twice so you are wowing me! The older kids will learn to deal with sharing you eventually, until then good luck! We need piccies!0 -

Pigpen: I am probably asking you something stupid but have you tried Hedrin? When my two were in primary school they kept being infected, no matter what I did, I had the nitty gritty comb, tried every method and product availabe, chemical and non chemical, washed the bedding and pillows and coats etc but nothing got rid of them permantly until Hedrin came onto the market. Suddenly they were all gone! Still did the cheap conditioner and nitty gritty comb every other night but they were finally gone and didn't come back.
It has been a glorious day today, the sun has been shining for us.
had all the towels washed and hung out. cleaning the kitchen after tea because.......
my dishwasher is being delivered tomorrow!!! I finally chose one and I can't wait, it has got a delay button on it so I can get it to come on when we have cheaper electricity.
:grouphug: for poohbear, so sorry to hear about your dad.
I cleaned out 3 kitchen cupboards on Saturday!! Do I get brownie points for that miss Pigpen??? And I will do the one under the sink tonight so the fitters can have easy access to the pipes tomorrow
Better go dish up the tea, spaghetti bolognese.. :wave:0 -
yes I tried Hedrin it was the most useless bottle of junk I ever wasted money on!!! I'm on the hard stuff.. alcohol based full marks..nuke the little b@rstools!!!.. I'll deal with the psoriasis and eczema later!! So far I've got 5 of them done.. and hubby.. and me (I didn't have any and DS1 didn't have any but everyone else has!!) Just waiting for DD2 to come home from sharing her fleas at her friends and DS2 can be done next.. but I can't stop itching!!!!!! lol.. mad isn't it.. I have psychological bugs!
