Barclaycard Cashback removing the 1% Amex card

    not had the letter yet, i used this card everywhere i could....luckily for me cap one still give me 1% cashback after they stopped it for the vast majority.

    Letter received today saying my Amex cashback will end on 2nd August. The cards will be replaced with a brand new Barclaycard Cashback card.

    2nd August ? - My letter says 4th July. It looks like they are staggering it then.

    My letter says the 24th July

    Edit - thinking about it, I think it might well just be your Statement date ?

    Got my letter today and it says 15 August!

    It's a bit disappointing but fairly inevitable that this would happen. My card never leaves the house for online shopping (mostly Amazon), booking flights and hotels and as an emergency backup while the Visa card stops in my wallet.

    Can any of you report back whether your "ends" day corresponds with your statement date/birthday/whatever?

    Mine corresponds. Barclaycard statement dates are worked out on a "x" working day of the month basis (weekends and bank holidays don't count).

    I know this because previously I had a low number and ended up with 2 payments in one month which scuppered my Halifax Reward payment as the following month no DD went out so I moved the statement date.

    Just checked and the 15th corresponds to my expected statement date in August.
